The tensions between the dark side was growing. Avella had aged a tiny bit, but near enough still looked the same. However Tom, was unrecognised in her mind.

He was some sort of a serpent now, she knew at that moment. It had gone to far. That moment she knew Tom was never hers, he was a product of power, and only that.

She had been manipulated by love, when he had been manipulated by power.

However, she is the only one to regard Voldemort as Tom. She was the first to stay. Now, she bore the deatheater mark.

"Vella" his snake voice hissed

Even his voice was terrifying. Maybe she should've stayed away, she cursed herself for ever trusting this man, or should Avella say, a snake.

Voldemort has now got a following, an immense about. By now, a family Avella once known, the Black families offsprings, only three girls, had joined. As their headquarters are at the Black Manor. But will be switching to Malfoy Manor if Narcissa Black gets married.

Avella couldn't control it, she used to. But now. Tom was uncontrollable.

"Tom, can I talk to you, in private" The lestrange woman asked

"As you wish, my dear" he looked at his fellow deatheaters, who have a cold expression, turned and walked out. Avella following behind.

"I don't think this is right. I've said this once, I can't go on like this. Not anymore"

"You are married to me, that dark mark is something to be proud of. That dark mark proves your love, and our undeniable relationship, don't you think Avella?" He looked at her

She still saw the young Tom within his eyes.

"I don't recognise you anymore. I had not thought it would've been like this." She started to get distressed

"You are mine, you are on my side now. Let me take care of everything, and we will have a good life together, dear. Maybe even offspring would come into play" he caressed her shoulders, an alarming look spread across her face

"They won't be snakes will they?" She taunted

He stared at her coldly, he wasn't one for jokes.

"Avella Lestrange, my Avella. I love You for this, but if you ever decide to betray me, may your death be the most painful" he whispered as he walked out

She stared at his departure, Nagini slithering after him like a dog.

Avella had to do something. She had to tell somebody about the Horcruxes, how to destroy him. She thought hard about who to tell, Dumbledore? No, even she didn't trust him. Someone young. Someone daring enough.

"Avella!" Warburga Black greeted coming through the door. Avella turned to be embraced with her

"How's Lucretia and Dorea?" Avella asked

"Well, dear. Our Cretia died not too long ago, Dorea had run away with some blood traitor. It took us weeks to recover from such a scandal." She looked down

"Why don't you join us for tea, our family?" The old-ish woman asked

Avella nodded. In the Black house, she walked through to see their family tree in the drawing room. She stared at it intently

"You've had kids I see" Avella traced the faces

"Yes, both of them are insufferable" Walburga dismissed before sitting in an armchair. Soon Avella was stunned when a elf walked in.

"Yes yes put it there, Kreacher. Don't spill it you stupid thing" Walburga dismissed Kreacher who gave a glare to Avella before walking about.

"Do it, oh, don't worry about Kreacher, he's a lousy thing" the woman stirred her tea. Avella obeyed.

"I have a sister, Druella, she is the daughters of the three new deatheaters. Pretty little things, aren't they?" Walburga exclaimed

Avella could only nod.

"It's intriguing how you're the only one to get into the Dark Lord, you know more than us." She inched forward

"I associated with him at school,  we were somewhat rivals" Avella briefly explained

Soon the two twins came down and drunk their tea, one had curly long hair, the other was reserved and hair parted neatly that hung over his forehead.

"Ah! These are my sons, Regulus and Sirius. You two, this is Avella Lestrange, she is the highest deatheater in the ranks. Be hospitable will you please, we cannot afford to slip up" she looked at the two who made no eye contact

Avella was fascinated by Regulus, maybe she should tell him. When Avella was about to go. She asked to meet with Regulus. Who look daunted but walked outside the house with Avella.

"What did you want to talk about?" He asked

"So you want to be a deatheater, if not, if you want to destroy Lord Voldemort I know how. You mustn't tell a soul." She told him

"You want to destroy him, why are you coming to me? I'm not powerful enough." He shrugged

"You have the resilience to. I can see it Regulus. We form a plan, become a deatheater. That's the first step." Avella answered

"So I have to? What if I die? What will I get from that, family hate? " Regulus suggested

"No. You'll be deemed a hero. The Dark Lord has horcruxes, they're objects that conceal part of his soul, if you break that, you kill part of Voldemort. I know where one is hidden. But before any of that happens, you must join next year. When you're sixteen." Avella looked expectantly at him

He gulped but nodded. A fifteen year old, trying to defeat Voldemort? That was a big job.

"I'll try. I'll try for a better life, to protect my family, not just for you. For me." He turned and walked back, soon Avella apparated back into her room.

She had found someone to pass on a legacy with.
