"Yo, Elp, have you seen Jay today?" You walk into the gym on Saturday morning.

Elp looks up from the floor where he's concentrating on lifting weights and smiles when he sees who's talking to him. "Morning, N/N." He greets you. "Jay? No, I haven't seen him since Thursday. Why?"

"I tried to get ahold of him earlier to see if he wanted to grab breakfast." You explain. "But oh well I guess." You shrug.

Elp perks up at the mention of breakfast. "I'll go to breakfast with you, Y/N. My treat even." He offers with an eager smile.

"Yeah?" You reply. "That's so sweet Elp!" You gush. "I missed breakfast when I got up so I am starving."

Elp shakes his head at you with a playful smile. "Come on, Y/N. You gotta take better care of yourself, babe." He reminds you.

You shake your head and dismiss him. "I'm fine, Elp. It was just one breakfast. Nothing major."

"Don't make me start coming over and making you breakfast every morning," Elp replies, making you giggle.

"Maybe I should." You tease with a giggle. "I love a good home-cooked meal."

Elp bows his head with a cheesy smile. He adores how effortless it is to talk to you when it's just the two of you. The cute moment is cut short when Jay finally shows up.

"Y/N! There you are." Jay saunters over to you with a grin. "Sorry I missed your call earlier love." He slings an arm over your shoulder.

"Awe, it's alright Jay." You shrug. "Elp and I are gonna grab breakfast after this if you wanna join." You suggest.

You are too busy with Jay to see the brief look of disappointment on Elp's face. But that disappointed look is quickly replaced by a carefree smile.

"Ooof, I'm afraid that I've got plans already, love," Jay replies. "But I'll be free later tonight if you're interested." He suggests.

"Damn, oh well." You shrug. "Looks like it's just me and you, Elp." You turn back to him with a smile.

"Yep." Elp nods with a playful wink.

Everyone gets to their respective workouts and chats among themselves for the most part. You dismiss yourself to the bathroom after a while and leave Elp with Jay.

"What were you doing this morning when Y/N called you?" Elp asks Jay casually.

Jay shrugs and picks up his weight bar. "I was sleeping at some broads house that I met at the bar last night." He explains. "We were kind of busy so I couldn't answer the phone."

Elp's jaw clenches at Jay's blatant disregard for your feelings. He stares at Jay but chooses not to say anything.

"Why you look so tense, mate?" Jay asks Elp after a few moments of staring from Elp.

"Nothing, man," Elp replies and forces himself to unclench his jaw.

Normally, Jay would shrug it off and go about his day. But he can tell that something is off about Elp and God knows Jay loves to stir the pot.

"Wait a second." Jay grins as he realizes something. "You've got a thing for our dear Y/N, don't you?"

"Shut up, Jay." Elp grits his teeth.

"Aww, you do have a thing for her huh?" Jay continues his teasing. "That's adorable."

You come back from the bathroom and walk over to Elp when you see that he looks a bit tense. "Everything alright over here guys?" You ask.

"Yeah." Elp nods. "Come on, Y/N. Let's go grab breakfast before I starve." He looks down at you with a smile.

"Alright." You nod and match his smile. "As long as you're buying." You joke with a giggle.

Elp chuckles with you. "It'd be my pleasure." He claims in a joking tone.

"You love birds have fun now!" Jay shouts as you walk off.

You giggle and walk off with Elp. You roll your eyes at Jay's shenanigans and head out with Elp.

He takes you to some nice breakfast place and buys you a nice meal. You sit across from him in a booth and happily cut into your stack of waffles when you catch him looking at you.

"What?" You furrow your brows at Elp. "Do I have food on my face?" You pick up your napkin.

Elp chuckles and shakes his head. "No, you're fine." He assures you. "You just look cute sitting there eating your waffles." He grins.

You blush and set your fork down. "Stop." You shake your head.

"Sorry," Elp replies. "But I meant what I said. You're adorable." He insists.

"You're the one being adorable here." You giggle. "Why didn't you tell me sooner that I was so adorable?" You ask him.

Elp shrugs sheepishly. "I don't know." He sighs. "But I guess seeing Jay all over you was the last straw." He admits.

"Awe, that's so sweet." You gush. "But you don't have to worry about Jay, Elp." You assure him. "I've got zero intention of sleeping with that manwhore, trust me."

"Good." Elp nods with a look of relief. "I'm the only manwhore that you should be spending your time with."
