After breaking the kiss, he looked at her with deep love and affection, then gently kissed her forehead and held her hand as he led her to the car. He opened the door for her and helped her into the car before getting in himself and starting to drive towards her home. As they arrived, and she was about to get out of the car, he held onto her hand, causing her to lean back in her seat. He closed his eyes and they sat in silence for a few seconds or minutes, both lost in their own thoughts

She kissed the corner of his lips, catching him off guard and making him feel surprised. She then walked towards her home, closing the door behind her and leaning back against it. She smiled brightly, feeling content and happy, as she looked through the window and saw him still sitting in the car with a bright smile on his face. The sight of him smiling made her heart skip a beat, knowing that he was smiling because of her and the moment they shared filled her with warmth and joy.

R.V. Hospital

Manik and Mukti walked into the small, cramped hospital room where the old lady Muntaj was lying on a narrow bed, hooked up to a saline drip and a heart rate monitor. The room was sparsely furnished, with only a small table and a chair for visitors, and the walls were painted a dull, institutional white. The smell of disinfectant hung heavily in the air, and the only sound was the beeping of the monitor and Muntaj's labored breathing. Despite her frail and emaciated appearance, the signs of her advanced age were undeniable. Her skin was translucent and her eyes were sunken, and her once plump face now appeared gaunt.

Mukti, sits beside her, couldn't hold back her tears as she saw her condition " I can't believe it, how can uncle do this to her"

You have no clue, Mukti, about the level of deceit and treachery your uncle is capable of," Manik said, barely containing his fury.

"I am completely confused and uncertain of my next move," Mukti said, feeling unsure of how to handle the situation with her uncle.

It's crucial that we keep this information a secret from your uncle, Mukti, we don't want him to know about her," Manik said to Mukti in a serious tone, emphasizing the importance of keeping their knowledge hidden from her uncle.

"I understand, I will keep it a secret," Mukti agreed with Manik, nodding her head in understanding of the importance of the situation.

After receiving a call, Manik listened intently on the phone, and then with a sense of haste and urgency, he quickly left the room without providing any explanations.

Manik made his way to the police station, where the constable greeted him with a salute as he entered. Shahil and the commissioner of police also greeted him with a handshake, as a formality before escorting him to the jail for an interrogation session with Cabir.

Shahid presented the file to Manik and stated, "Sir, this file contains evidence that he is involved in illegal activities such as drug trafficking. However, we do not have any proof linking him to Karan Varma. I also wanted to bring to your attention that I am suspecting him in the Druv and Aliya's murder case, but as of now, I do not have any evidence to support this suspicion, except  as finding his shirt button in Aliya's throat during the postmortem examination."

Cabir was completely perplexed as to why Manik was there, to which Manik replied "Has anyone been informed that we have taken him into custody?". Manik asked this question while closing the file and glancing at Shahil.

No, sir, as per your instructions, everything was kept confidential and we only took him into custody for interrogation today," Shahil replied to Manik's question.

We don't have any other complaints against him, except for the attempted kidnapping of Ms. Soha Malhotra and Nandini Murthy, that occurred this morning," Shahil said, providing additional information to Manik.

Who filed the complaint?" Manik asked, following up on Shahil's statement.

"Raj Malhotra lodged the complaint, he observed Cabir and a few of his associates attempting to kidnap the girls by dragging them into a van during their morning walk, but their friend Harshad intervened and successfully rescued them," Shahil informed Manik.

Manik clenched his fists tightly and punched Cabir with such force that he began to vomit blood." "Let's run a narcotic test on him," Manik said to Shahid.

"And also Sir, I think he is your father," Shahid added, pointing towards the inspector's table, "he is sitting there," indicating the presence of Manik's father.

His father was in shock as he saw Manik walk out of the interrogation room, and asked the constable, 'What is Manik doing here?' He was surprised to see everyone saluting and showing respect towards Manik."

"Manik Malhotra is the new Special Director of the Central Bureau of Investigation," the constable informed Raj. "He received his joining report yesterday and it was surprising to see him catching one of the most wanted criminals within his first hour on the job."

His father's jaw dropped as he listened to the constable's explanation, realizing that his son was now a powerful figure in the CBI and had already made a name for himself in just one hour on the job."

Raj couldn't help but feel proud as he looked at his son Manik, who had just been praised for his impressive first hour on the job. Manik walked towards him, and the two of them walked out of the building together. There was a comfortable silence between them as they walked, and Manik opened the car door for Raj. Raj sat down in the car without saying a word, still taking in the pride he felt for his son's accomplishment.

Manik knew his father was about to question him, so he quickly spoke up, "Dad, I swear I didn't do it on purpose. I got a call from Karan Varma that day, and it was about Bhagya Sree. I don't want you to be involved in this trouble."

His father's hand slightly shivered, but Manik held his hand tightly while driving the car and reassured him, "Believe me, I would never betray the trust you have in me. I have always upheld the values and morals you have taught me. This time, you are not alone. I am with you. As your son, the son of Raj Malhotra, I will put an end to this." Manik said with conviction.

Raj felt a sense of reassurance wash over him as he listened to his son's words, and he knew that with Manik by his side, they would be able to face whatever challenges lay ahead and come out victorious.
