I always thought that you will come like waves – crashing down my surface and tearing down my sand castles. I always thought of you being the storm that will drench my eternal drying spell. I always thought of you as the thunder, along with flashes of lightning that makes me mesmerized at the most chaotic moments of yours.

But in reality, you came in like a drizzle of rain – with enough raindrops to lighten up my day. You are the gentle morning wind that kisses me on my most unwelcoming days and soothes the tensions of my very face. You are the streets at 10pm that I never traced since I was schooling then. You are the seashell whom I whispered but for no one never tell. You are the antithesis of my expectations. You are the opposite of something I thought was wild, raging, and burns like hell.

You let me breathe what others left me breathlessly.
