Old folks says romance is dead
but mine wasn't withered enough;
I will fix your emotional bulletholes
with a couple of band aids on your chest.
I will try to ward off the darkness
with the light of our incense last night;
If you have days you can't get through
then I'll make forts round your lonely blues–
just let me do these things to you,
I'm doing this because...
I love you so.
If you can't bear the weight on your shoulders,
let me help to ease the burden of your situations;
I will kiss you in every moment,
when you feel you're not handsome enough;
Let me sing you all of your favorite songs,
show me your weakness and I'll wrap all your wrongs.
Just let me do these things,
its all I'm asking cause I love you so.
I'm gonna love you dear 'til the end of this time,
Ours aged weak and old yet I want it so right;
Hope the thought of leaving won't cross your mind
cause I'm pretty sure it will be the death of mine.
I'm gonna love you as if it is our last,
embracing your edges' til it won't hurt too much;
If you think of leaving then it will break me,
if you think of me, then don't let go.
