time flies fast under the night sky,
blankets down our tired lives,
arms of yours wrapped around mine;
slow blinking, midnight sunset,
peaceful is this moment–
ain't this world a battlefield most times?

home is where i am being with you,
this feeling's forever summer of June–
my face in your pocket, eyes with reflections of comets;
you give love on dimensions where i'm at my weakest,
hand over the portrait of Jesus, pressed in pure golden–
ain't this world a piece of heaven sometimes.

i've been with old souls with intention of ruins,
you've been borrowed and left with all of this achin';
i never ask for more for its you been all along,
and with you i can be weak,
and with you, i can be me.

a/n: this poem was inspired by two things. the first one, the movie "little fish" and the second, some sort of an encounter.
