Unexpected Love

Chapter 1 (The Tragic Turn of Life)

She was looking out the plane window, sad and distracted. Thinking about how life can change in just a few hours. It only takes a few hours, maybe even just a few minutes, for someone to die, become disabled, homeless, or... an orphan. Life can be so cruel sometimes! Suddenly, you find yourself losing everything you had: your home, your friends, your country, and... your family. And then you end up in a new place, with new people, and you don't know how they truly feel about you. But the only thing you know now is that you're forced to leave, taking nothing with you, not even the grave of your parents. She closed her eyes and went back in her mind to three weeks ago.

It was 2:37am in Istanbul. They were a beautiful happy family coming back from a midnight party. Emma was listening to music on the car speaker and singing along with her mother and her father laughing. Her father noticed a car following them, but he didn't say nothing so as not to worry them. But the car started cutting them off. Emma freaked out and turned off the music.
Emma: "Dad, what's goin' on?"
Rose: "Adam, what's wrong? Who are they?"
Adam: "I don't know, but hold on a little, okay?"
Adam tried to avoid the car as much as he could, but the other driver was too good, and Adam's car ended up falling off a cliff. The car rolled over and over until it finally stopped. The man got out of the car and looked at them. He made a call.
The man: "We did it! They're dead now!"

Emma slowly opened her eyes to find that it was morning. She could only move her eyes, as she felt a sharp pain all over her body. She heard the voices of rescuers discussing how they would open the car to get them out. She turned her gaze to her parents and saw that they were closing their eyes, bleeding, and not making any movements. Her heart broke and she became scared, but she couldn't make a sound for the rescuers to hear her. So she decided to give up and close her eyes, like her parents, to die.

The next day at 7 am in New York, Andrew went down for breakfast to find his parents already at the table.
Andrew: Good morning.
Sia/Noah: Good morning, son!
Andrew sat down beside his mother and his father was at the head of the table.
Noah: Will you sign the deal we talked about today?
Andrew: Yes, I was about to ask you about it now. What do you think of it? I sent you a copy of the contract yesterday.
Noah: I read it, it's great! Well done, you set good terms to protect your rights. I'm proud of you.
Andrew: Thanks, Dad.
Andrew said while smiling. Olivia came down at this time and went to kiss her father.

Olivia: Good morning, Daddy!
Noah: Good morning, honey!
Sia: It's like we're not here, Olivia! Just kissing your father. What about us then?
Olivia: I'm trying to end my longing for him, Mom!
Sia: You've been trying to end your longing for over a year or more, honey!
Olivia: OK, don't be sad, I'll kiss you too!
Olivia kisses her mother and laughs.
Andrew: Whoa!
Olivia looks at him and laughs loudly, then kisses him too. Andrew laughs and Olivia goes to sit and have breakfast.

Andrew: Will you be done with your exams today, young lady?
Olivia: Yes, bro! You promised me we would go on an exciting vacation, remember?
Andrew (laughing loudly): Okay! You finish your exams, then we'll go on a beautiful vacation for you!
Olivia: Let's invite Madlen and Mark, right?
Andrew: I think you mean Madlen and Peter! Hah?
Olivia: Yeah, but we can't leave her brother behind, right?
Andrew: Right! We shouldn't leave him alone!
He said with a cunning laugh. After breakfast, Andrew and Noah went to their company, taking Olivia with them to school.

After one week, it was 1:23 PM in Istanbul. Emma, who had been staying in a hospital room, opened her eyes for the first time in a week. She woke up with bruises all over her body, but she was alive. Her parents, however, weren't so lucky. They had passed away and Emma was left alone in a harsh world. The man responsible for the accident was never found, and the police had no leads. Emma made a soft moan and the nurse quickly went to call the doctor. The nurse called the doctor, who came and checked on Emma.
The doctor: Welcome back, Emma! It's great to see you awake! How are you feeling?
