Pagkadating ko ng bahay, itinulak ko ang gate paloob na puno ng kulay brown na kalawang. I arrived at 7:24 p. m. after the practice session. I knocked on the door after a few steps forward. Knock Knock.

"Oh, Marty, done with your practice?," Mama asked.

"Opo 'ma.," I replied.

"Pasok ka anak.," Mama opened the door for me.

Her footsteps were audible as she was running from the kitchen. "Kumusta ang practice niyo? " "Upo ka na, nagluto ako ng Adobo."

"Oks lang, kakapagod," tugon ko. I removed my shoes first. Then, I put it on the shoe corner adjacent from the doorway.

"I'm sure gutom ka na. Kumain ka ng marami. Kahapon hindi mo inubos ang pinagkainan mo," sabi ni mama habang nagsasaing ng kanin sa pinggan sa mesa.

"Ikaw 'ma? Sabay na tayo."

"Tapos na ako, 'nak."

Inusog ko ang upuan palabas saka nagdasal. Before grabbing my spoon and fork, I thanked Him for the blessing of meal for this night. I thanked for the goodness of God who supplied us with all our needs. I thanked Him for His kindness and grace for giving us blessings of this everyday. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

"Sa fast-food chain nalang galing sa work. Nagkita kami ni Tita Karing mo pagkatapos kong mag-deliver ng mga order sa palengke. Tapos nag-catching up muna kami.

I heaved a sigh. "Ahh, kaya pala po 'ma."

"Oh, sige, pagkatapos mong maghugas ng pinagkainan mo, matulog na, okay? Bawal nang mag-cellphone."

"Mag-aaral pa po ako mama, eh."

"Okay, anak. Study well."

Minutes passed, I stood up and brought my plate on the counter to wash them. Then, I went inside my room. I went directly to the table with my books and notes.

She replied while the spatula is with her right hand, "May meeting din kami sa Church, sakto, idadaan ko muna sa kanila bago ako pumunta ng simbahan,"
