Liam slammed his locker shut with a force that made Veronica jump. She turned around to see Liam glowering at her, his dark eyes practically smoldering.

"What's your problem, Liam?" Veronica asked, trying to keep her voice steady.

"You're my problem," Liam snarled. "You're such a tease. You lead me on, and then when I make a move, you act all innocent and shy."

Veronica felt her cheeks flush. "I'm not a tease, Liam. I just don't know what I'm doing."

Liam scoffed. "Please. I bet you've done it with many guys before me. So why not just drop the act?"

Veronica felt a pang of hurt. It wasn't true, she had never done that with anyone before, but even if she did, she didn't see why that was such a big deal. "So what if I have?" she shot back. "It's not my fault that you think that you are the only expert."

Liam grinned, and Veronica felt a flutter in her stomach. She hated how he could make her feel so off-balance. "Oh, you'd be surprised," he said, stepping closer to her. "I could teach you a thing or two."

Veronica took a step back, feeling trapped against the lockers. "I don't want to be taught," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

Liam leaned in, his breath hot against her ear. "Sure you do," he murmured. "You just don't know it yet."

Veronica's heart was racing. She wanted to push him away, but at the same time, she couldn't deny that there was something thrilling about his closeness. "Liam, please," she said, her voice shaking. "I don't want to do anything I'll regret."

Liam pulled back, looking annoyed. "Fine. Suit yourself. But don't come crying to me when you realize what you're missing. I officially declare this little game between us OVER."

Veronica watched him stalk off down the hallway, feeling a mix of relief and disappointment. She knew she shouldn't want Liam, but she couldn't help it. He was dangerous and exciting, and she couldn't help but be drawn to him.

As she walked to her next class, she couldn't help but think about Liam's words. Maybe she was missing out on something by being so cautious. Maybe she should take a chance and let herself experience something new.

But then again, maybe not. Veronica knew that Liam was bad news, and she didn't want to end up hurt or humiliated. She would have to tread carefully, and keep her guard up around him.

As she settled into her seat in class, she couldn't help but steal a glance at Liam, who was sitting at the back of the room. He caught her eye, and smirked, making her heart skip a beat.

Veronica rolled her eyes, trying to focus on the lesson. Liam was trouble, and she knew it. But that didn't mean she couldn't enjoy the chemistry between them, from a safe distance.

But now Veronica couldn't get Liam out of her head. She wanted him, and she wanted him badly. But he seemed to be acting completely oblivious to her.

As she walked down the hallway, she saw Liam leaning against a locker, talking to a pretty blonde girl. Veronica felt a pang of jealousy. She knew she shouldn't be feeling this way, but she couldn't help it. For the first time in her life, she decided to make a bold move.

She walked over to them, hoping to catch Liam's attention. "Hey, Liam," she said, smiling brightly. Even to her, it felt pretentious, stupid and fake, she never goes and say hi to people, not to the popular kids and now she randomly went and talked to Liam, she knew she would get the looks from the people around.

Liam glanced over at her, his eyes roaming over her body. "Hey, Veronica," he said, his voice low and sexy as he calmly analysed her.

Veronica felt her cheeks flush. She wanted to grab him right then and there and kiss him senseless. "What are you guys up to?" she asked, trying to sound casual. But she was awkward, as awkward as they come!

The blonde girl looked at her with a cold stare. "We were just talking," she said, her voice dripping with disdain.

Veronica tried not to let the girl's attitude get to her. "Oh, cool. Well, I'll see you guys around," she said, starting to walk away. This was stupid, this just made her look desperate.

But just as she turned around, she saw Liam lean in and kiss the blonde girl. Veronica felt her heart sink. She had never felt so hurt and jealous in her life. She turned back to them, her eyes blazing as they connected with Liam's gaze which was fixated on her as he kept sucking the life out of that girl's lips.

She rushed in the other direction before she did something rash or bursted out crying but was pulled back with her hand just before she turned the corner. She looked at Liam as he stopped her from getting away,

"What the hell, Liam?" she spat. "I thought we had something."

Liam looked at her with a smirk. "Oh, we had something," he said, his voice low and dangerous. "But it was not what you thought it was. It was just me helping out my horny prudish friend who no one else would help. But considering the fact that she thought she could do better, I withdrew".

Veronica felt a surge of anger. "You're such an asshole," she said, her voice shaking. "I can't believe I ever thought you were worth my time."

Liam stepped closer to her, his breath hot against her cheek. "You know you want me, Veronica," he said, his voice a low growl. "And I'm not going to stop until you admit it."

Veronica felt a shiver run down her spine. She hated how he could make her feel so off-balance. "You're disgusting," she spat.

Liam chuckled. "Oh, come on, Veronica," he said, his eyes glittering. "You know you want a taste of this."

Veronica felt a surge of anger. "You're such an arrogant jerk," she said, turning to walk away.

But just as she was about to leave, she felt Liam's hand on her arm. She turned back to him, her eyes blazing. "What the hell, Liam?" she spat.

Liam looked at her with a wicked smile. "Don't be so angry, Veronica," he said. "I was just having a little fun. You know that right now, I only have eyes for you."

Veronica rolled her eyes. "Save it, Liam," she said, pulling her arm away. "I'm done with your games."

Liam watched her walk away, his eyes dark with desire. He knew he had pushed her too far, but he couldn't help himself. Veronica was too damn tempting. As he watched her disappear down the hallway, he couldn't help but think about how much he wanted her. The more she ran, the more he wanted her. She was going to be his little nerd, sooner or later.
