"When I lost Chutki, it was all darkness." Annika admitted to the man she loved.

"Although I found some light," Annika looked at her chand bracelet and into Shivaay's eyes, "I do not know if I have closure. I do not know if I have enough light to keep me going."

"What is stopping you from getting that closure?"Shivaay gathered the strongest woman he knew in his arms.

"Closure means letting go of Chutki. I do not know if I can ever do that." Annika hid her face in her palms.

"Annika aur Ajeet theek toh hoge naa, Harsh?" Anamika asked her husband, clutching her bleeding head. She could literally feel a crack in her skull, if that was what it was.

"They will have each other and Madhu and Papa too." Harsh struggled to speak. He wanted to reach his wife but his head and abdomen hurt.

"Our baby? She has your eyes, the doctor said." Anamika bit out with great struggle.

Harsh closed his eyes in pain.

He should not have intervened but the preparation of drugs and the way the youth at Kalyani Mills were ruining their lives for a moment of intoxication.

He made a huge mistake.

"I love you, Harsh." Anamika uttered words she normally never utters. Those three words were meaningless in front of what they shared.

"I love you too, Anamika." He whispered and tried to crawl to his love.

With much grunting, he succeeded.

"You know," Anamika laughed, with tears pouring out of her eyes, "I did not know if I would survive birth, you know. I was just acting strong to not hurt you. So I always wished that I would die with you by my side."

Seeing the strongest woman he knew oozing blood from her head, her beautiful black hair drenched in blood, and giving up on life, Harsh started sobbing.

Taking her into his arms for what could be the last time, and grunting in agony, Harshvardan Dewan wailed for himself, his wife, and the family they are leaving behind, "I am so sorry."

"Hey..." Anamika put her hands loosely around him. "I could smell the petrol."

Harsh whispered, "It's over."

"I get to make you meet my parents finally, huh? They will beat you up for knocking me up." Anamika laughed.

"Hey, I married you with full rights and pomp and grandeur." He muttered.

"Annika?" Anamika peeked at him, scared for her blood. She never wanted to leave her baby like this. Even if she knew she might die after childbirth, she knew Harsh and the rest of the family would be there for Annika.

"Meri Anamika ki Annika hain. She will be fine." Harsh said, and the next few moments passed by in utter silence.

Soon the flames spread.

And Roop came back for their bodies.

Their bodies were her pawns that she would use one day.

Like Mr. Kapoor's.

Ajeet felt horrible.

His sister-in-law grew up as an orphan, in a hostel, trying to live up to her parents' upbringing every single day, hoping they were proud of her. She never wanted her child to have that fate.
