"What are you up to?"

"looking for the damn book that tainted our innocent baby chick," Lee Soo Hyu's protective streak strikes again. Why is he even more enraged than he is? Kim Rok Soo couldn't figure out why, but he was certain that no such book existed in his vast library.

"We should label these books as forbidden, Hyung."

"For the sake of humanity, we should."

"However, we are humans." Kim Rok Soo defends.

"No, you are not," Choi Jung Soo snarled. "You're a beast."

Wow. Wow, just wow. Kim Rok Soo was rendered speechless. He moved quickly and dragged the two out of his library. Instead of idling around, they will be subjugating monsters. He's never touched the redhead, but these two keep referring to him as a beast! He's innocent! It's the chick's fault for rousing the beast.

He just frowned after kicking them up. He flicked his hand, and the books returned to their original locations.

"Huh," he says as he walks deeper into the library. Few books were not returned to their shelves. He then notices Cale soundly sleeping on the couch. Ryung was snugly wrapped around him, while the black egg sat motionless on the side. He sat down cautiously, noticing a single tear falling from Cale's eyes.

"fa...ther..."

Kim Rok Soo paused before wiping Cale's tears. There's no way a child this young wouldn't miss his father, especially if he was close to him previously. Deruth did not abandon Cale, but he is not a good father either. It was abhorrent to see a child sleep alone in that room while everyone avoided him.

He even tried to marry off this child in the hopes of making him happy, but that was just an excuse.

Cale requires nothing more than his family and his father's presence.

Kim Rok Soo gently cradled Cale in his arms. Ryung jerked awake and assumed his humanoid form. He was still drowsy, but he grabbed Kim Rok Soo's shirt and followed him back to the room, his egg brother in his arms.

Heavy breathing soon broke the silence.

As he walks to Cale's room, Kim Rok Soo hums a soft song.

He placed the child on the bed. Cale instinctively reached for his coat, which had been lying on the bed. Ryung assumed his dragon form once more and snuggled close to the redhead. Kim Rok Soo smiled. He placed the black egg next to Cale. He brushed his hair and patted his head lightly.

"Sweet dreams," he whispered, leaving a soft kiss on Cale's forehead and the dragons'. He left the room feeling good.

Cale's room seemed boring and a bit cold.

"I should take one of those mana cores and make a heat lamp out of it," he said as he walked to the meeting room where everyone on the subjugation team would be.

Lee Soo Hyuk teases, "Someone is oozing with happiness." He was already dressed in his gear, and a few of their men were also prepared. Well, for someone whose purpose is to handle information, Kim Rok Soo just wore his gear since he won't be going to the front lines.

Kim Rok Soo called out, "Soo Hyuk-nim."

"Aw... Call me Hyung-nim," Lee Soo Hyuk refused to be addressed as nim.

"I'd like to get some Mana Cores."

"It appears that everyone off to want Mana Cores," Choi Jung Soo laughs. Lee Soo Hyuk intended to collect a few to make heat lamps and LED mana-induced lights.

Even Joo Hoosik, the great and mighty Preist of his Religion, is on the hunt for Mana Core.

"How come we didn't get a few before?" Lee Soo Hyuk has overseen the fact that they would require them. They're accustomed to the building's dim lighting. [note: not castle, there are no castles in Korea; instead, imagine a very large company building]
