《Selena Arabella Calos》

"Will I see you again?" Alex asks me as he walks me to my car.

I look at the ground and shake my head. "Not alone, Lex. I don't think you know how much he dislikes you because we dated."

Alex laughs shortly. "It's not like I am his biggest fan."

"You know what I mean, Lex."

He sighs. "I do. I'm going to miss you, Lena."

I smile at him sadly. "I'll miss you too, Lex."

Leo clears his throat, and I look at him, raising an eyebrow. "We have a flat tire."

"How long will it take to change it?"

"A while, considering we do not have a spare."

I narrow my eyes at him. "And why do we not have a spare?"

"I don't know. I do not usually drive this car."

Before I can say anything else, Alex intervenes, "It's alright, Selena. I'll drop you off."

I look at Leo, and he shakes his head discreetly. "Give me a moment alone with Leo, Alex."

Alex nods and steps away.

"I don't think Ace will like Chevalier dropping you off," Leo says as soon as Alex is out of earshot.

"I know," I tell him. "But Daniel already knows that Alex and I are together, so I do not see how him dropping me off will make a difference."

"Ace doesn't know."

I blink at him, surprised by his admission. "He doesn't? I thought you told him as soon as Alex came."

"No, I thought it would be better if you told him yourself."

"Oh," I mutter, suddenly feeling a wave of gratitude towards Leo. He does not know how much he has saved me from Daniel's wrath- or maybe he does. "Daniel is not going to be at home right now, Leo. I'll tell him about seeing Alex and him dropping us off together."

Leo stares at me for a second, then shakes his head in disappointment. "You're signing both of our death warrants."

-

"Who would have thought I would be dropping you off at your fiancé's house one day?" Alex asks me as I get out of the car.

I roll my eyes. "Thanks, Lex."

Alex smiles at me. "Anytime, Lena." His eyes suddenly flicker to something behind me, and before I can turn around to see what he is looking at, Alex pulls me in for a quick hug and plants a kiss on my forehead. "I'm going to miss you, Lena."

I stare at Alex as he gets into the car, too scared to turn around. If Alex saw who I think he did, he might never see me alive again. "I'll miss you too, Lex."

Alex smiles at me, then smirks at someone behind me.

I hate my life.

I still don't turn around to look at him because I can feel him standing right behind me.

Goodbye, world.

"Your bedroom. Now," Daniel says in my ear, his voice low and tight. Shit. I stand there frozen for a second, trying to think of a way out of the predicament I have put myself in. "If I have to repeat myself, you will regret it."

I take shallow breaths as I step away from Daniel and walk towards my room. When I get to my bedroom, I feel sick and dizzy. I do not know what to expect from Daniel. And I cannot entirely blame him if he does something terrible to me- he gave me a very clear set of rules, and I probably violated the most important one. I broke his rules so he could back out of our agreement- which means I might not be able to see Alessandro again.
