Daring and Cerise Charming were pulling up to Darings parents house for dinner. It had been months since they'd had dinner with everyone else since they'd gotten married last June. Tonight's dinner was different because Darings favorite uncle was gonna be there.

Although Daring claimed he wasn't his favorite anymore and didn't bother to invite him to their wedding. Cerise thought it was strange but she allowed him to do as he pleased.

Daring parked the car and quickly got out to open Cerises door and walked with her inside.

"I'm just gonna tell you, my uncle can be difficult"Daring said as they knocked on the door

"Yeah well sometimes you're difficult so it shouldn't be too bad"Cerise joked

Daring smiled and the door swung open.

"Cerise my darling how are you"Darings mom, Grace hugged her

"Hi Grace i'm great how are you"Cerise said hugging her back

"Oh well, it's been decent over here i'm just so excited to have you guys for dinner"Grace said kissing her sons face

"We wouldn't miss it for anything"Cerise said following Grace inside to find, Dexter, Raven, Darling and Chase

After greeting each other, Darings dad, Peter and his uncle Jack walked in and sat at the table.

"Daring my boy"uncle Jack said slapping him on the back "It's been so long since i've seen you"

"Ah uncle Jack, I've been busy"Daring said shaking his hand. His usual form of civility

"Yes I see, I heard you got married"uncle Jack said

"Yes I did, this is my wife, Cerise. Cerise this is my uncle Jack"he introduced reluctantly

"Cerise, interesting"uncle Jack said standing up from his chair to get a closer look at her "I can't help but notice that white streak in your hair, where's that from"

"Genetics, my dad has it too" Cerise answered

"Right, i've never heard of that before but tell me, how'd you meet my nephew"he asked

"High school"Cerise answered again side eyeing him

"Jack, I find these questions to be irrelevant"Grace said protectively

"Quiet Grace, I need to know some things about her"Jack said aggressively

"Ok Cerise last question, why did you tell Daring to uninvited me to the wedding, huh why would you do that"Jack said getting louder

Daring pulled Cerise closer to him as he stood up.

"Watch what you say to her"Daring said

"Now Daring we all know she's out of your league, I mean look at her"Jack pointed "She clearly has no royal background"

"Royal or not, she's my wife and I won't allow you to speak to her like that. Ever."Daring said

"I don't understand why you're protecting her, you're the victim in this relationship"Jack said

"No i'm not, and the next time you said anything negative about her I'll do more than talk"Daring threatened

"I'm not worried though, because one, she looks like she only wants our money, two, she uninvited me from your wedding and three, she gives me slut energy"Jack said

"What did you say"Daring asked threateningly

"One she looks"he started before Daring cut him off

"The last thing"he said

"She gives slut energy"Jack said nonchalantly

Cerise just got up from her chair and quickly made her way outside. The rest of the family quickly ran after her while Daring took care of Jack.

"Serves her right to be ashamed, she's nothing but a thief and a slut"he said before a fist landed in his face

"I told you to watch how you speak to her, to didn't listen"Daring yelled still throwing his punches

"Daring you wouldn't hurt your favorite uncle would you"Jack pleaded

"I'll hurt anyone who hurts my wife, and for the record, she's not a slut and al she's most definitely not a thief and if you so much as look as her wrong, I'll hunt you down myself and tear you limb from limb"Daring said grabbing him by his bloody collar "Are we clear"

"Yes"Jack said annoyed

Daring finally let him go and as he walked out he said "And also I didn't invite you to the wedding and you are no longer my favorite uncle"

Daring ran out to the garden where his family were trying their best to comfort Cerise but to no avail.

"I'll take it from here"Daring said placing his hand on his mother's shoulder

The family all went back inside to salvage whatever was left of the uneaten dinner.

"Cerise"Daring said calmly

Cerise looked up at him with mascara running down her face.

"What did i do wrong"Cerise asked

"Nothing baby, he's just a selfish asshole and a narcissist"Daring said pulling her into his lap

"Your hands are bloody what did you do to him"Cerise said

"You'll see, he now knows what happens when you mess with my Red Rose"Daring said kissing her

Cerise smiled and said "You wanna go eat dinner now, I'm starving"Cerise said wiping her mascara off her face and replacing it with new makeup

"Yeah, I can't wait to taste that new chicken recipe"Daring said carrying her inside.
