9 short months passed and Cerise and Darings baby was born. A healthy baby girl they named Eleanor or Ellie for short.

Everything about their new life was perfect except, Cerise had been struggling with postpartum depression. She tried and tried but she couldn't seem to bond with her baby girl and that took a toll on her.

Because of this, Daring had been taking most care of Ellie day and night. He always had Cerise feel as if she was apart of caring for her but she wasn't clicking.

One night after putting the baby to bed Daring walked into the living room to find Cerise crying.

"Cerise what's wrong baby"he asked sitting next to her

"I knew i wouldn't be a good mom"Cerise cried into his shirt

"Oh Cerise don't say that, you are doing great"Daring said stroking her head

"No im not, i haven't been able to hold her or bond with her. My precious baby girl, im failing her"she cried some more

"Cerise you are a new mother, and i know its hard right now but im promise you are are an amazing mother who's doing what she can for her daughter"Daring said sitting her up to look at him

"You think so"Cerise asked wiping her tears

"I know so, i don't know any baby that lights up when she hears her moms voice but Ellie does, trust me, she believes you are a great mother"Daring said giving her a goodnight kiss and leaving her with her thoughts

3 hours later, Eleanor is heard crying for her next feeding. Daring reaches over to find Cerises side of the bed empty and he gets up to find her in Ellie's room holding her in the rocking chair and singing to her as she feeds her with the biggest smile on her face.

"Hey you two"Daring said leaning in the doorway

"Hey"Cerise said looking at her baby

"She's beautiful isn't she. She looks exactly like you"Daring said walking over and stroking his daughters blond hair

"Yeah with your hair"Cerise laughed

A few moments of silence pass by and Cerise says "I think i finally connected to her, i feel it"

"I told you you'd be a great mom"

And that she was indeed.
