Chapter 7 - The Battle Begins

NARRATOR: We Return To the Lincoln Investigation Police Department Safe Room Where We Continue with Ichigo Hope, Xavier Patchett and Chaz Lindsay as they gear up preparing themselves for the battle of their lives and to be escape the Command center.

ICHIGO HOPE: So... thanks for the gear I guess... it's not everyday that I have the same guys chasing me from crime scenes to now help me with weird monsters...

XAVIER PATCHETT: Don't mention it honestly we need all the fire power we can get enemy or not. So think of it as a truce who knows besides proving your innocence you could make a fine investigator...

ICHIGO HOPE: it's going to take a lot more then handing me weapons for me to trust you I hate people except for my squad members people just don't know my pain or understand my issues.

CHAZ LINDSAY: If it makes you feel any better I go through a lot of things in my life too it may not be your kind of pain but it's a pain for sure.

ICHIGO HOPE: What do you mean Chaz?

CHAZ LINDSAY: Well Loosing the Captain and the elite squad and not knowing their location for a week was a huge blow to the work life of things. While at home I have it worse but let's not delve deep into it since we got a monster to fry...

XAVIER PATCHETT: Chester Cheeze is right we got to go ahead and head out so here's the plan! noise distracts the monster right? If we can get a gun to shoot off which I will give a signal to you two when to pop it. Ichigo and Chaz you two go upstairs in the command center and prepare fire grenades to drop on the monster okay? Because the place is pretty busted up as it is so be careful once I fire my pistol that monster will be coming as I'll be the distraction got it?

ICHIGO & CHAZ: Got it.

NARRATOR: The Three of them start heading off as the command center is pitch black and low Groans fill the command center with an eerie vibe...

XAVIER PATCHETT: *WHISPERS* No monster... so you two go ahead and go take the left main corridor down and head to the stairs there's a balcony on the upper level that can get you to the spot you'll need to be in. BE Careful make as little noise as possible if you need to use a decoy grenade if absolutely necessary do it.

CHAZ LINDSAY: Alright Xavier be careful man stay safe we will all make it out together. Come on Ichigo let's go to the 2nd floor.

ICHIGO: Okay I understand now just lead the way I guess...

NARRATOR: Ichigo and Chaz now head down towards the corridor leading to the 2nd floor as the door opens they head towards the the top of the stairs unscathed.

CHAZ LINDSAY (On Radio): We made it to the balcony do you copy? We are waiting for your signal!

XAVIER PATCHETT (On Radio): Copy that. Prepare yourselves here it goes!

NARRATOR: Xavier Shoots a single bullet out towards the west corridor and a huge shriek ensues knowing the monster has been alerted by the bullet coming towards Xavier then yells at Ichigo and Chaz.

XAVIER PATCHETT: Now! DO IT NOW!

ICHIGO & CHAZ: Here it goes!

NARRATOR: they drop the fire grenades and Xavier locks himself into the safe room. While the monster is charging the fire grenades land on impact on the monster while a massive ear piercing shriek covers the building as it's being roasted alive. During the roast of the monster Xavier opens the door and throws one last grenade and it blows up the monster to complete bits.

CHAZ LINDSAY: Ladies and Gentlemen we got 'em..

XAVIER PATCHETT: Chaz! Ichigo! looks like the coast is clear come on down.

NARRATOR: the three of them then meet up on the center of the command center next to the safe and take a real good look at the burnt to a crisp monster.

ICHIGO HOPE: Do these creatures evolve over time? This is definitely bigger then the ones I saw killing my comrades... back at the village

XAVIER PATCHETT: Well we need to inform the captain what's going on here and turn on the back up supply! luckily the emergency system and cameras are on just no lights though.

CHAZ LINDSAY: agreed the lights on will help us cause less panic to us and I handling dispatch can definitely help out with communication from the center to our comrades. We should let them know our situation.

ICHIGO HOPE: Sounds like a plan so where's the back up system power generator?

XAVIER PATCHETT: Thats the hard part it's in the lower level of the command center through maintenance we gotta go down there and turn the power back on. Not hard in general just hard to get there because ladder down and it's dark in general in there. With that monster gone we don't know what'll come next. So let's go you two we got a command center to turn on.

ICHIGO & CHAZ: Okay.

NARRATOR: Our three Command Center Defenders are now walking through the east corridor and find the door to the maintenance room. When the door is opened the three are met with a ladder down to the lower level of the command center, filled with the maintenance supplies. Tools, old cleaning supplies and
The main generator at the very back that has been damaged.

XAVIER PATCHETT: Well woop de fucking do... it's been sabotaged and that definitely is a huge hole in the main generator. We will have to go a bit further down this lower level corridor to get to the back up generator behind the door in the end of the corridor. It'll turn on the main lights in the command center and turn on dispatch radio intercoms but not the whole building will be turnt on so it'll be good enough for us to see and operate fairly.

CHAZ LINDSAY: sounds good the sooner the better flashlights don't last forever.

ICHIGO HOPE: yeah the dark kinda sucks I just want the lights back on.

NARRATOR: Xavier finds the door and opens the back up generator room and finds the generator itself in fine condition Chaz goes ahead and turns on the back up generator leaving a "wooshing" sound and the lights are on in the lower level and back at the command center.

XAVIER: Nice Job Chester Cheeze let's go back up now.

CHAZ LINDSAY: finally no more flashlights... yippee *turns off his flashlight*

ICHIGO HOPE: well at least it isn't dark now beats being dark anytime.

NARRATOR: the three of them make it back to the command center and see the blood everywhere in command center floor from the monster killing and dismembering the security guard Laike Rodriguez and combat medic Luka.

XAVIER PATCHETT: it's really a shame sucks to lose such fine people on this team. In such a brutal way also... anyway Chaz send in a emergency distress call to all investigators and the captain.

CHAZ LINDSAY: you got it man let me do that! *ahem* *turns on the radio station and starts a distress emergency signal to all investigator radios* Dispatch calling all investigators crisis has been averted 10/14 situation has been neutralized. We Request back up that we have 3 KIA here at the station. It's just me the Lieutenant and a fugitive that has been helping us. We seek assistance ASAP.

CAPTAIN MCKENNA BROWN ( On Radio): 10/4 I hear you Captain To Dispatch Sorry to hear about your situation Mr. Lindsay but I'm glad to hear you're okay. I will send you 3 of my squad members in their squad car that should help you hold down the station a bit better and have you seen the news? You might want to take a look for yourselves soon there appears to be horde of ghost like creatures from the city of DarkWood. President recommends to stay indoors and barricade up anyways our situation here on the job is almost complete Captain McKenna Brown Out.

CHAZ LINDSAY: DarkWood? Xavier isn't that where you sent the rookies?

XAVIER PATCHETT: I did for the De las brujas case oh no... this isn't good... so that explains most of our missing investigators and captain and his squad... things may be getting ugly soon If more of those ghost creature like things come here when we are at our weakest.

NARRATOR: A battle won! but not the war... things will only get worse from here...
