Chapter 16: The Rules of The World

"Hold on I'll call an ambulance." I said in panicked grabbing my phone

"No don't do that." He says grabbing my hand and stopping me

"But your bleeding a lot your gonna die if you don't get some help." I said trying to break free from his grip

"I said no ambulance. My apartment not too far from here." He said pointing at big skyscraper like building

I garb him putting pressure on his wound and struggling to walk him to his building we finally got inside he told me that he was on floor twelve and he told me his room number. We got on the elevator. When it stoped at his floor we got off. I slowly walked to his room and he gave me his key and I opened the door. He's apartment room was big and a lot cleaner then I thought I was going to be. I set him on the a couch. Then went to get a first aid kit. I cleaned the wound and kept putting pressure on it to stop the bleeding. Then I wrapped a makeshift bandage around the wound since wasn't a bandage big enough to cover it. Once I was done my hands were covered in blood so I had to wash my hands. When I was done Cyrus was asleep. I sat by his side making sure his wound didn't open up again. After an hour I didn't realize I fell asleep too.

The next morning when I woke up I was on a soft bed. I was confused where I was until memories from last night hit me. I got up looking around the apartment no sign of Cyrus anywhere. Then the front door opened.

"Why you staring at me like that?" Cyrus asked

I ran over to hug him.

"Okay what's gotten into you? I never seen you this affectionate towards me. Don't tell me you fallen for me already." Cyrus says jokingly

"Just shut up. I was worried okay." I said letting him go

"I told you I'll be okay didn't." Cyrus says patting my head

"Where did you go anyways?" I asked

"Ohh I went to drop off that bag you had in your hands last night it was medicine. I assume it's for your roommate." Cyrus says

"Wait she didn't see you did she?" I said in a panic

"Haha the look on your face is cute. No she didn't she was still asleep. Luckily I didn't wake her up." He says

"That's a relief. I wouldn't hear the end of it if she did see you. But are you truly okay." I say

"Yes I'm a okay little miss rule breaker." He says teasingly

"Huh?" It took me a minute to think what he was talking about then it finally hit me. I broke rules we set for each other to even get him to come to class and work on our projects. My face started to turn bright red.

"Haha it's fine I'm not mad. But it seems like you're smart enough to know when to talk to me outside of campus and when not too. You should probably get going I got work to do." He says

"Right see you." I say waving goodbye leaving his apartment

I got out the door then I ran into Josh as he come out his apartment. Josh looked at me shock then gave a grin. Before walking down the hallway and disappearing. That was weird. What was that for. I left the building and start to walk towards campus the a familiar voice called my name. It wasn't Josh or Kat. Not even Cyrus.
