At Grey Sloan, I was in the middle of the surgery when Alex called me.

I told the scrub nurses to ignore it, but he had called me seven times now. In under three minutes.

The eighth time he called me, I told the scrub nurse to answer it out of frustration.

"Karev? I'm in the middle of surgery, what's going on?" I asked.

His voice was very panicked, and rushed. I could tell that something wasn't right.

"Alex? Alex... what happened? What's wrong?" I asked. What could have happened now? I prayed that it wasn't Arizona or the babies, but of course, that's exactly what it was.

"It's Arizona... she had a placental abruption.. and I had to deliver the babies at your house, I'm almost here I need you to meet me in the parking lot," he said.

My heart stopped. Everything just stopped. My premature children were delivered, and god knows if Arizona is okay.

I panicked internally

Why was everything falling apart?

Why was this happening? Why was this happening to us?

"Somebody take over... I have to go," I said.

At the fastest pace I've ever moved, I took off my gloves, and scrubbed out. Sprinting out of the O.R., I got stares from almost everyone.

My colleagues were perplexed.

I finally made it outside, where I saw Alex jumping out of his car with the babies in his arms.

Paramedics were tending to Arizona.

Tears came into my eyes as I ran to him.

"Take them to Connie.. now," He breathed.

Looking down at the babies in my arms, I started crying hysterically. I quickly wiped them away. I had no time to cry right now.

I ran inside, knowing I had to save them.

Miranda and Richard approached me. as they saw me sprint in the hospital, two near dead children in my arms. My near dead children.

"Torres, what the hell is going on?" Richard asked, jogging over to me with Bailey following behind him.

"Arizona... she had the babies... and they- I need to get them to Connie right away," my head was pounding.

I was so afraid for them, for my wife.

"Callie... Callie," Bailey rubbed my back soothingly.

"Callie, hand me the babies," Richard said, holding his arms out.

I shook my head.

"They're part of your family, that's against the rules, I'll take care of them, I promise. I need you to go sit down, calm down, and drink some water,"

I looked him in the eyes.

This must have been what Arizona was feeling when it was me who was in this position.

Reluctantly, I handed them to him. I watched him disappear around the corner, my eyes trained on the small faces of my children.

I then heard the doors sliding opening behind me.

Both Bailey and I snapped our heads around to see Alex on top of the gurney where Arizona lay.

He was giving her CPR, people were frantic.

I started hyperventilating.

"Arizona!" I screamed out.

Miranda grabs my free hand from behind.
