15: What dad keeps under his hat (it could be a cat)

That awkward moment when you realize that your birthday is only a few short weeks away, and that you're still supposed to care about it, but you just want to avoid any conflict for a change.

I went biking with my bro last year on my b-day, and about a dozen people individually wished me a happy birthday.

I knew none of them.

And I've made it a habit to hide from humanity whenever possible, so how'd they know?!!

Unless if they were, IDK, from one school or another, and my traumatized brain just blocked out any memory of knowing those people?

It's done it before over lesser things, so maybe.

I didn't even realize we had so many kids and young adults left on this street.  😩

Well, at least we have half of the ninja now.

Yes, Kai.  One of the most traumatized members of your team is now in the babysitting business.

The actual mental child.

Lloyd do be sounding like a ninja master now, tho.

*Sniff!*  He's grown up so much..!

During a car trip with my parents, minus my bro yesterday:

Mom: *Trying to persuade dad to get his ball cap washed*  (It's a work thing.)

Dad: *Silent for a moment*

Dad: I didn't know you wanted a divorce.

Mom: It'll have bugs in it by now!

Dad: It's a part of me!!!

Mom: ..................................

Dad:

Mom:

Dad: It's not dirty from the bugs.  It's dirty from my mind.

Mom: *Giggles and lightly punches him in the arm*

Me: *Silently writing down everything they say in the backseat, because they've obviously forgotten that I'm still there again*

I made orange flavored jelly bunnies today.  Yesterday was raspberry.

They're adorable, but also delightfully tasty.  😋

Mom and dad: *Discussing the momma cat*

Dad: We can't adopt her.  We already have a Kat, and she'd get jealous if we did.

Me: P U R R.

Mom: Sit.

Me: *Sits*

Mom: *Scratches my head while she reads her book*

Me: You know that this is rather weird, right?

Mom: Shush.  *Scratches me more*

Me: \(='ﻌ`=)/

Dad: *Randomly calls me Babes from time to time*

Me: *Waves hand flirtily*  I'm sorry, but I'm taken.

Dad:

Me:

Dad:

Me: I have a rabbit already.

Dad: *Is dead*

Dad, bro, and I working in the yard be like:

All: *Doing physically exerting work*  (Okay, maybe not my bro, but I digress.)

Young rabbit: *Literally hops between all of us with no fear whatsoever*

Dad: *Looks pointedly at me*

Me: 🤷‍♀️

Bro: *Demonic cackling*

Us: 🤣💀

Harumi: I'm going to take you out.
Lloyd: great, it's a date!
Harumi: I meant that as a threat.
Lloyd: See you at five!

I'm sorry, Harumi stans!  😰🤣
