~ 2 months later ~

Y/n continued to try to talk to Jungwon every chance she got, even if it was just a simple "hello" or "how are you?" She noticed that he would always give short and quick responses, but she didn't let that discourage her.

One day, during a lunch break, Y/n saw Jungwon sitting alone at a table in the corner of the cafeteria. She decided to join him and sat down next to him.

"Hey, do you mind if I sit here?" she asked softly.

Jungwon didn't answer, but he didn't move away either. Y/n took that as a sign to continue.

"I was thinking...I know we've been trying to help you for a while now, but maybe it's time we try a different approach," she said, looking at him intently.

Jungwon still didn't say anything, but he seemed to be listening.

"I was thinking... maybe we could do something fun together, like go to an amusement park or a movie. It might help take your mind off things, and maybe you could relax a little," Y/n suggested.

Jungwon finally looked at her, his eyes hidden behind his mask. For a moment, Y/n thought he was going to say no, but then he nodded his head slightly.

Y/n felt a spark of hope inside her. Maybe this was the breakthrough they needed to help Jungwon open up.

~ At the amusement park ~

Y/n had convinced Jungwon to meet her at the amusement park, and she was excited to spend time with him outside of school. However, she was a little nervous about bringing her little brother along. Jaehyun was a curious and energetic five-year-old, and she wasn't sure how he would react to Jungwon's mask and hood.

As they walked through the park, Y/n kept an eye on Jaehyun, who was running around excitedly. Jungwon walked next to her, his head down and his hands in his pockets.

"Are you having fun?" Y/n asked, trying to break the silence between them.

Jungwon nodded, but he didn't say anything.

"Are you scared of any of the rides?" she asked, hoping to get a reaction out of him.

"No," he replied, still looking down.

As they approached a rollercoaster, Jaehyun ran up to them, tugging on Y/n's shirt.

"Can we go on this one?" he asked, pointing at the ride.

Y/n looked at Jungwon, who shrugged. "I don't mind," he said quietly.

Y/n smiled at him and turned to Jaehyun. "Okay, let's go!" she said, taking his hand.

They spent the next few hours riding rollercoasters, eating cotton candy, and playing games. Y/n noticed that Jungwon was still quiet, but he seemed to be enjoying himself.

As the sun began to set, Y/n suggested they go on the Ferris wheel. She hoped that the view from the top would make Jungwon feel better.

They climbed into the carriage, and Y/n sat next to Jungwon. Jaehyun was bouncing up and down with excitement.

As they slowly rose into the air, Y/n looked out at the view. It was beautiful, with the orange and pink hues of the sunset spreading across the sky.

"Isn't this amazing?" she said, turning to Jungwon.

He looked up at her, and for a moment, Y/n saw his eyes behind the mask. They were brown and full of emotion.

"Thank you," he said quietly.

Y/n smiled at him, feeling a warmth spread through her chest. She didn't know what he was thanking her for, but she was happy to be there for him.

As they descended back down to the ground, Y/n knew that she had made progress with Jungwon. She was determined to keep trying to break through his walls and help him in any way she could.

~ Couple hours later ~

Y/n and Jungwon had just walked out of the amusement park with her little brother Jaehyun. They were laughing and talking about their favorite rides when suddenly Jungwon stopped walking.

"Y/n, can I hug you?" Jungwon asked, looking at her with pleading eyes.

Y/n could see the fear and anxiety written all over his face, and without a second thought, she wrapped her arms around him. She felt him tense up at first, but then he relaxed, and they stood there hugging for a few moments.

Meanwhile, Jaehyun, who was walking behind them, started to chime in, "Hey, Y/n, why don't you guys kiss? It's like in the movies!"

Y/n quickly turned around, her face turning red. "Jaehyun, stop that! That's not appropriate!" she scolded him, feeling embarrassed in front of Jungwon.

Jungwon, on the other hand, seemed unfazed by the little boy's words. He just smiled at him, and Jaehyun immediately went back to being his bubbly self, talking about all the rides he had been on.

As they continued walking, Y/n could feel Jungwon's hand shaking a little, and she knew that he was still struggling with his anxiety. But she was determined to be there for him, to support him in any way she could.

"Jungwon, if you ever need to talk or need someone to lean on, you can always come to me," Y/n said, looking at him with a reassuring smile.

Jungwon nodded, and Y/n could see the gratitude in his eyes. She knew that he still had a long way to go, but she was determined to be there for him every step of the way.

Y/n, Jungwon, and Jaehyun strolled through the park, enjoying the cool breeze and the beautiful scenery. Jaehyun was chattering away, excitedly pointing out different flowers and trees he saw along the way. Jungwon seemed to be listening to him, but Y/n noticed that he was still wearing his hood and mask, which made it difficult to see his expression.

As they walked, Y/n couldn't help but think about how much progress they had made with Jungwon in the past few months. He was still quiet and reserved, but he seemed to be more comfortable around her and her friends. She wondered what was going through his mind, but didn't want to push him too hard.

After a while, they came across a small pond, and Jaehyun ran over to look at the ducks swimming around. Y/n and Jungwon sat down on a nearby bench, watching him play.

"Thanks for coming with us today," Y/n said, breaking the silence.

Jungwon shrugged, still not looking at her. "It's no problem. Jaehyun seems to be enjoying himself."

Y/n smiled, but she could tell that Jungwon was still guarded. She wanted to do something to make him feel more at ease, but wasn't sure what to do.

Suddenly, Jaehyun ran back over to them, holding a flower in his hand. "Look, Y/n! I found a pretty flower for you!"

Y/n took the flower from him, admiring its vibrant color. "Thank you, Jaehyun. It's beautiful."

Jungwon looked over at them, and Y/n could see a hint of a smile on his face. She felt her heart skip a beat.

After a few more minutes, they decided to head back home. Y/n walked with Jungwon, feeling a sense of closeness that she hadn't felt before. She knew they still had a long way to go, but she was hopeful that they would be able to help him overcome his struggles.

As they said their goodbyes, Jungwon turned to Y/n. "Thanks for today," he said softly. "It was nice."

Y/n smiled, feeling a warmth spreading through her. "You're welcome. I'm glad you came with us."

With that, they parted ways, and Y/n couldn't help but feel that things were slowly starting to change for the better.
