~ In the morning ~

Jungwon slowly opened his eyes, feeling a small tug on his arm. He blinked a few times, trying to adjust to the morning light, and saw Jaehyun sitting next to him on the bed, looking up at him with a wide grin.

"Good morning, Jungwon-ah!" Jaehyun chirped happily. "Did you sleep well?"

Jungwon smiled and nodded, rubbing his eyes and sitting up on the bed. He glanced over at Y/n, who was still sound asleep, and couldn't help but feel a sense of warmth and happiness wash over him.

"Yeah, I slept great," he said softly, looking back at Jaehyun. "What about you? Did you have fun playing with me last night?"

Jaehyun's eyes lit up at the mention of their playtime. "Yes! It was so much fun, Jungwon-ah! Can we do it again today?"

Jungwon chuckled softly and ruffled the younger boy's hair. "Maybe later, Jaehyun-ah. Right now, I think Y/n needs some rest. Let's go have breakfast and let her sleep in for a bit longer."

Jaehyun nodded eagerly, hopping off the bed and running towards the door. "Okay! Let's go!"

Jungwon smiled at the younger boy's excitement, feeling grateful for the little family that had welcomed him with open arms. He leaned down and placed a gentle kiss on Y/n's forehead before getting up and following Jaehyun out of the room.

~ In the kitchen ~

Jungwon followed Jaehyun into the kitchen, their footsteps echoing in the quiet house. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the air, making Jungwon's stomach growl in anticipation. As they entered the kitchen, Jungwon noticed Y/n's mom already busy preparing ingredients on the counter.

"Good morning, Jungwon," Y/n's mom greeted warmly, smiling at the sight of the two boys. "Did you sleep well?"

Jungwon nodded shyly. "Yes, thank you."

Y/n's mom chuckled softly. "That's good to hear. Now, how about we make a delicious breakfast together?"

Jaehyun eagerly grabbed an apron and handed one to Jungwon. "You can wear this, Jungwon-ah! We're going to be breakfast chefs!"

Jungwon couldn't help but smile at Jaehyun's infectious enthusiasm. He tied the apron around his waist, feeling a sense of belonging and joy that he had never experienced before. Y/n's family had become his own, and he cherished these moments of togetherness.

Under Y/n's mom's guidance, they began cracking eggs, flipping pancakes, and toasting bread. The kitchen filled with laughter and the sizzling sounds of breakfast being cooked. Jaehyun eagerly tried to mimic Y/n's mom's actions, occasionally making a mess that caused everyone to burst into laughter.

As they sat around the table, enjoying the delicious breakfast they had prepared, Y/n walked into the kitchen, rubbing her eyes sleepily. She smiled at the sight of Jungwon and Jaehyun, their aprons still on and faces beaming with pride.

"Wow, you guys made breakfast without me," Y/n said, feigning surprise.

Jungwon blushed, feeling a mix of embarrassment and happiness. "Sorry, Y/n. We couldn't resist."

Y/n chuckled and walked over, giving Jungwon a quick peck on the cheek. "It's alright. I'm glad you're enjoying the morning with my family."

They shared a warm smile, knowing that this was the start of another beautiful day together. Breakfast continued, filled with conversations and laughter, as they savored the simple joy of being in each other's company.

In that moment, Jungwon realized that he had found not just a friend but a true family-a family that he would forever cherish and be grateful for. And as they finished their meal, he silently made a wish in his heart that moments like these would continue for a lifetime.
