Walking slowly into the house I hoped my father wasn't home. After hearing nothing, I went to the kitchen and grabbed a snack then headed to my room. After a few hours of working on homework and watching tv, I heard the door slam down stairs.
I silently hoped it wasn't going to be one of ...those nights, but hoping wasn't enough as soon as I heard him throwing things around down the hall. My door handle was shaking so hard, I thought it was going to pop off any moment.
He finally slung the door opened and I noticed his bloodshot eyes with a killer look on his face. The next thing I know, I'm thrown into the wall, with so much force I began to get dizzy. Fadely I feel his punches and hearing him scream the same things over and over making me feel worthless.
"Its all your fault" ,repeating in my mind. After a few more hits, he became tired and left my room quietly. With sobs escaping and my body shaking, I slowly got up and walked to my dresser grabbing something then walked out of my house to find somewhere empty.
