"Are you awake?" Ariana whispered.

I opened my left eye. She was staring directly at me in bed.

"No." I whispered back.

I closed my eye.

"Can you wake up?" She whispered.

"No." I whispered back.

"Oh don't be like that. It's ten in the morning. I wanna get out of bed." Ariana said.

"Am I stopping you from doing that?" I asked.

"Yes. I want you to come with me, so we can make breakfast together." She said.

I opened my eyes. I reached up and grabbed her face.

"You know I can't say no when you look like that." I said.

Ariana's smile grew wider.

"Then wake up so we can go downstairs. And also wake up because I just want you conscious." She said.

I rubbed my eyes and stretched. I looked back at Ariana.

"I'm conscious now." I said.

"How are you feeling today?" She asked.

"I feel fine. I'm good. I could run a marathon." I said.

"No seriously. Do you feel better today?" Ariana said.

I got out of bed while Ariana tried to hold on to me. I stood up and pointed at her.

"I can do a little dance for you if you want." I said.

"Can you just come hug me?" Ariana asked.

I kicked and punched the air. I turned back to Ariana.

"Does that impress you?" I asked.

"Not in the slightest." She answered.

"You're lying." I said. "I'll do it again."

"Please no. I don't want you to hurt yourself." She said.

"I'm fine. What are we doing today?" I said.

It had been a week since I had gotten home from surgery, and Ariana had been with me everyday all day long. She literally did not leave my side. I wasn't upset about it at all, but I was definitely not used to it. I had never had someone that wanted to be with me at all times.

"Since you're feeling better I was thinking about taking you with me to the studio. I really need to go, but I don't wanna leave you here alone." She said.

"I'd love to go. But I'm also fine staying here. However, I'm supposed to go shopping with Marge and Joan today." I said.

"Too bad. You're my girlfriend." Ariana said.

"I'm actually not!" I smiled.

"Don't piss me off. It's nine in the morning." She said.

"Well you're not my girlfriend yet." I said.

"Why not now?" Ariana asked.

"You're not very patient." I said.

"You know this." Ariana said as she got out of bed.

She walked over to me, and I opened the bedroom door for her. She stood on her toes and kissed my lips.

"Good morning." I said.

"Good morning, baby." She smiled.

Ariana walked out in front of me. I exited the room behind her and shut the door behind me. She grabbed my hand and laced our fingers together. As we walked downstairs, the smell of food got closer.
