Chapter Ten - Sent back

-August-

Aurora had been in a coma for two months, after the first month the swelling had gone down enough to see any damage. There as been a small fracture but that looked to be healing. They had brought her out of the medically induced coma but she still did not wake. The world moved on around her, every other day or week she'd be brought back into the news but people had lives that needed to be continued with. Flowers were still left outside the hospital for the Princess.

31st of August marked the official 10 years since her mothers death and in a turn of coincidence it was the exact day Aurora began to show signs of waking up, throughout the morning security , nurses, doctors who came in and out never managed to catch the little movements she made. fingers, toes, hands, feet. By the afternoon rounds Dr Erik who had been given the job as the primary caregiver to the Princess was doing his observations. He heard a soft groan and looked up as Aurora moved her head.

"Your highness?" he asked. Aurora lifted her hand to touch the oxygen cannula and opened her eyes.

"Where am I?" she croaked "Who are you"

"I'm Dr Erik. I'm your Doctor." he checked her pupils and her states

"I was in my car....I was going home. We were swerving..." Aurora tried to remember what had happened when she covered her mouth "I was in a accident?" she questioned her doctor

"You were but you survived."

"What day is it? How long have I been unconscious?" he hesitated "What."

"It's Aught 31st you Highness." Aurora's shoulders sagged "I will have your family informed." he bowed his head to her and left. Within the hour Chalres, William and Harry defended on the hospital while the Queen and Prince Phillip were informed of their granddaughters recovery.

Dr Erik was checking on Aurora again, she was now sat up in bed eating, when her family arrived. She looked at the window and smiled at her family. Dr Erik excused himself as the three of them entered.

"Hi." she timidly smiled, Charles came around to her left side and took her good hand that was not in a splint. "Daddy" she reached up and hugged him, Charles returned it holding her as a few tears of utter relief and happiness. She pulled away and turned to her brothers.

"Roe." William grinned and hugged his little sister then harry hugged her too. The four of them sat talking.

"I saw Mum." she told them "We were at home and I was little again, I was happy but then she sent me back, she told me that I was all better. She misses you. All of you." William and Harry cried.

William stepped out and dialled the number that he spent two months on and off staring at. The line rang out till there was a small click

"Hello."

"Ahem, William or Liam? Mosley?" he asked

"Speaking."

"It's William, Aurora's brother, William." There was shuffling around and silence from the other end.

"I..I never expected a call from you or anyone actually." he answered

"James told me spoke with you, he couldn't tell you much but he gave me your number so that I could. I never really found a reason to use it until now." Will replied "She's awake." he grinned

"Really!" Will laughed "Sorry."

"It fine, would you like to speak with her?" Will wondered glancing back into the room where his sister was talking with his their brothers and father.

"Can I...please." Will opened the door

"Roe, I have someone who's been waiting to talk to you." Aurora looked confused at her brother but took the phone from her brother "We're gonna get something from the coffee machine." Charles and Harry were also confused but William nodded to the two of them and they all left. Aurora held the phone to her ear.

"Hello?" Liam on the other end grinned and tipped away tears that had fallen.

"Aurora" he replied and her face lit up "I'm so glad you're awake, how are you feeling." Aurora and Liam started to speak when her family came back and looked in on her.

"Who's she talking to?" Charles wondered "Who did you call?"

"If he has the balls to finally ask her out, her future boyfriend. William Mosley." Will clarified

"Are you setting up our sister Wills?" Harry laughed

"Oh she doesn't need any setting up, from what I hear and see, she's a mini Granny in that respect."

"I don't know much about him, other than he is in the film industry" Charles commented

"Your saying you haven't sneeked a peek in the file the security service will inevitably done once she started showing an interest." Harry joked

"Well, I did wonder why." Charles hummed making his sons chuckle, the watched at Aurora talked animatedly to Liam.

A few days after waking up Aurora was discharged the news already covering the Princess's recovery. Aurora and Charles thanked the hospital staff before they went out and were taken down to the ground floor. Aurora wanted to see the people who gathered, she wanted to be seen that she survived but compromised with not doing a walk about. When the lift open she saw James waiting.

"James!" she chimed

"Your Highness." he bowed his head "I'm glad to see you better." he stepped

"I'm glad you're okay as well and Michael. I was told that you suffered injuries as well, It makes me happy that your both okay." Charles and Aurora headed out and the crowd started cheering and clapping seeing their princess. She gave a little wave. Charles held out his hand and helped her down the few steps then let go so she could wave again

"Three cheers for her royal highness' recovery. Hip hip!" a member of there crowd shouted

"Hooray" the crowd called

"Hip hip!"

"Hooray!"

"Hip Hip!"

"Hooray!" The crowd went back to cheering and clapping as Aurora and her father walked over to the jeep. She stopped for a moment glancing over the car, the last time she was in one she ended up in hospital, she seemed to have bad luck with cars and it unsettled her. Taking a deep breath, she got inside and the car door closed as she did. She looked around a little

"Sweetheart are you all right?" Charles asked

"I....I...um....I can't breath." her hair fell forward

"Do you need to go back."

"She's having a panic attack." James knew "Your highness look at me, look at me." Aurora did so

"take deep breaths with me in and out, in and out." she did so

"Your safe, okay we've got cars in the front and back okay. That's it, in and out." Aurora shakily to the seatbelt and clipped herself in "Well done." James nodded to the driver

"Take it slow." Aurora's head went down as she calmed herself and she took her fathers hand. Charles held it with both hands and the car pulled away from the hospital

"Maybe this wasn't such a good idea." Charles voiced

"I'm fine...I'm fine." Aurora lifted her head up "I'm okay."
