Chapter 7

Dream POV:

I didn't know what was happening around me, apparently, Sapnap listened to my advice and ran away, the school got closed down for the next year and all of the students had to move to a different school/learn online, and George was always so worried and full of anxiety, he currently stayed at my place so I can be around him 24/7

"Georgie, you didn't even get out of bed" I walked over to him and lay on the bed beside him staring at the white ceiling and checking out every bumper thinking about what it looked like

He turned around and started cuddling me while I tried to figure out if the bumper in the left corner was a dinosaur or a chicken nugget
"I don't want to" he frowned "What if Karl doesn't like Sapnap? Or regretted letting him live with him, did I set Nick up for failure?"
"Aww baby" I turned to him and cuddled him back "You did nothing wrong, if anything happens it's not your fault you just did what you thought would be the best for Nick, besides, there's no way that Karl won't like him, Sapnap is a literal people pleaser, he will do anything for Karl to like him, especially now that they're living together"

"CLAY THERE'S SOMEONE AT THE DOOR FOR YOU" My dad called me, he was the biggest hybrid capture at the time but after it became illegal he had to retire and move here, he never stopped entirely killing them though, every once in a while people found hybrid bodies around the town and everyone thought it was my dad but no one had any proofs

"Sorry love, but I have to go, I love you" I kissed his forehead and got out of mine, and now George's as well bed fixing my hair a bit as I went upstairs

I froze as I saw who was standing at the door...

"Hello, Dream." He said like we were best friends or something "I just wondered, where's Nick? I haven't seen him since yesterday." He teased "Oh, right! He ran away like the weak little demon he is"

I had so much to say about this, Nick wasn't a demon, he was half a demon and he wasn't weak. he literally beat both of our asses and burnt down the whole school yesterday and-

"Clay, did you know that your friend was a hybrid?" My dad asked me cutting off my thoughts
"Absolutely not, I only found out yesterday with the others. He really knew how to keep it a secret" I lied
"Alright..." He didn't look like he believed me but as long as he stops asking questions I was fine

"C'mon Dream, don't ignore me, tell me where Sappy boy is at" Punz talked again, my anger raised with every word he said until I couldn't hold it in anymore
"Do NOT call me Dream, and do not call him SAPPY BOY" I yelled at him

"You're ignoring my question" he became impatient but I didn't care, I slammed the door in his face, I heard a slight "ow" coming from the other side of the door, I probably hit his nose

I turned away from the door hoping to go back to George but stopped after seeing my father glaring at me
"Clayton. That is not polite, I raised you better than that" I rolled my eye and went back to the door
"Sorry" I told Punz before shutting the door at him again
"Why are you defending Nick anyway? he is a hybrid. Do you not remember?" My father said to me in his annoying tone, don't get me wrong, My dad and I have a great relationship and I love him but sometimes he can be a real dick

"Sorry Dad, I don't know what happened. It's probably just because we knew each other for so long" I 'apologized' and went over to the kitchen to grab George and me something to eat before going back downstairs.

"Bon appetite!" my dad said before I entered my room

"Hey Gogy I'm back" I gave him a little smile
"Who was at the door?" He asked sitting up
"No one important" I kept my smile on "I brought you food" I tried to change the subject so he won't even think about asking more questions about the mysterious man at the door.
"Thanks" he gave me a small smile back "Can you call Sap? Y'know... Just to make sure he's doing alright... I wasn't as close to him as you are so if I call it'll just be weird"
"Of course baby" I set the food down next to him and picked up my phone searching for Sapnap
