Chapter 4: Back Peddling 

Waking up this morning gave me mixed emotions...
Being overwhelmed with the physical touch and also the specific nightmare, that repeats most nights, I had last night...

Getting out of Leah's arms, I made my way into the bathroom.
Getting a shower and then putting my training kit on and shoving my hair in a slicked back high ponytail

Grabbing a bowl out of the cupboard and getting the cereal out, pouring the cereal in and then the milk

Shortly after finishing my breakfast Leah walked down

"Morning"
"Good Morning" I smiled
"Sleep okay after that nightmare?" She asked
"Mhm, can we forget everything that happened last night?"
"Oh um yeah sure"

I might not be good with emotions but I could tell by her eyes she was upset about what I said...

giving a soft smile before walking up stairs into my room and packing my bag...

I could feel myself turning back into my old self...wanting to be alone, having that mindset of not needing anyone to comfort me... I knew this was gonna hurt Leah but my mind was already made up...

We made our way to training, not much talking in the car just music filling up the noiseless car.

"Morning" I mumbled to the girls as I walked into the changing rooms.

I kept my head down and got ready for training

Leah came up to me and grabbed my arm to get my attention
"Hey you okay?" Leah asked looking deeply into my eyes
"Um yeah of course I am why wouldn't I be?" I moved my arm away from her

I can acted like I didn't but I did see her eyes go down to where her hand was on my arm minutes ago...

"You sure?" Leah asked
"Yes Leah" I said raising my voice ever so slightly
"Sorry" I whispered looking down
"It's okay" Leah said stroking my arm, sensing I might freak if she gave me anymore physical contact.

"Hey Alex a word please" Jonas said calling me over at the end of the training session.
" Boss you wanted to talk to me" I smiled at him
"Is everything okay? You seemed a bit upset out there?"
"Yes boss, just trying to focus on training" I said lying through my teeth
Jonas nodded before dismissing me

I walked into the chill room and headed for the sofa Leah was at on
I smiled slightly as I sat next to her
"Hey" Leah said softly
I nodded before sitting and looking down at my phone

I felt a nudge on my shoulder, looking up to see everyone starting at me
"What?" I asked confused
"Beth was asking if your alright" Leah said from besides me
"Hm yeah I am, very tired but okay" I smiled at Beth looking back down at my phone

"Your not okay" Leah said as she walked into the kitchen
"What?" I asked from the chopping block
"You lied to Beth today didn't you"
"Don't know what your on about, Leah? I have a headache can we not talk about that right now?" I asked her
"Tired and got a headache... why can't you just speak to me?"
"Because Leah! I can't be perfect like you, can I? I can't just talk about my feelings, so no I won't speak to you!" I snapped
"I'm not perfect"
"Okay" i huffed
"Can we move on?"
"No come on, I'm all ears speak to me"
"Didn't you just listen!"
"I heard you very well" Leah said moving closer to me
"Then why do you except me to just talk then?"
"Because we are alone and you trust me?" Leah said moving so her arms were slowly snaking around my waist
"I do trust you bu-
"So talk to me" Leah said pulling me into a hug
"I mean I don't know Leah... like I just get like this, when it gets to much I back peddle away from the situation and go back to my old self" I said wrapping my arms around her neck and pulling her closer to me
"A simply 'I'm not feeling good today' at the start of the morning to me could have help me help you through the day. Please tell me if your like this ever again" Leah mumbled into my top
"Okay sorry"
"Don't be sorry...they are your feelings"

"Yeah but Leah! When would that happen in real life?" I asked her looking down as she laid in between my legs
"That's the thing, it's not a real tv program so it wouldn't" she said smiling up to me
"I mean yeah true but if they are gonna make a tv program they might as well make it somewhat believable"
"Who have you turned into... tv police" Leah laughed
"Yes I am" I nodded with a smile
"Hm... wouldn't do a good job!"
Immediately after she said that she dashed up and ran for the garden, with me chasing her
"You wanna repeat that" I said as she got trapped in the garden
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean it!" Leah begged for my forgiveness
I chucked the glass of water on top of her and ran away from her
"Omg Alex!" Leah said chasing after to me

All you could hear was me laughing and Leah whining about her wet hair in the background...
