Chapter 16: Tension

"Hey Lia" I said
"Are you okay?" Lia asked letting me into the house
"Leah and I have had an argument and I walked out" I admitted
"What about?"
"You"
"Me?" Wally asked confused
"Have you not seen the news?" I asked
"No" Wally said searching it up
"Why they making it out like that?" Wally added confused
"To entertain the fans I guess" I shrugged
"Does Leah think you and me are more then friends then?"
"Yep" I said looking down at my hands
"Would that be a bad thing?" Wally asked
"Sorry what?" I stood up from the chair
"You and me? Would that be a mad thing?" Wally said getting closer

I shot up from the bed and rubbed my eyes, checking the time... 6 am

Rubbing my face, I made my way out off wallys spare bedroom and got in the shower

Once finished I got into the spare kit Wally gave me to wear and made my way downstairs and made a coffee

"Morning" Wally said coming into the kitchen after a while
"Morning" I smiled up at her
"How you feeling?" Wally said sitting next to me
"Todays gonna be interesting to say the least"
"Remember what I said last night, okay?"

(Flashback)

"Why they making things like that?" Wally added confused
"To entertain the fans I guess" I shrugged
"Does Leah think you and me are more then friends?" Wally asked
"Yep"
"We can't do anything about it right now, how about you sleep on it tonight and we will sort it all out tomorrow with her" Wally said reassuringly
"Okay night Wally, thank you" I said pulling her into a hug and going up to her spare bedroom

(Present time)

"You ready to go" Wally asked as I made my way to the front door
"Yeah" I smiled
"Right let's go then"

As we got closer to the training ground the more anxious I got, I pulled my hood from my hoodie up and put my AirPods in

As Wally and I got out the car we saw Leah get out of her car from the other side off the car park, Leah started to walk over to us

I made a quick exit and went into the building leaving Wally to deal with her

"Rights let's go out to training" I heard Kim say as we sat in the changing rooms, I pulled my hood down and took the jumper off and made my way outside

"First molly and now Wally!" Was playing repeat in my head during training
"Watch out!" I heard one off the players call out before a ball went firing into my chest, I crouched down and tried to catch my breath

"You alright mate" Lotte asked crouching down next to me
"Yeah thanks" I said quietly, standing up and trying to get back into the game
As I stood up I caught Leah's eyes for a second, quickly looking down before hearing the whistle go
"Alex get over here now!" I heard Jonas shout

I made my way over to him
"What's up with you today?" He asked
"Sorry boss" I didn't make eye contact
"Finish early, go into the gym before the rest of the girls" Jonas patted my shoulder before walking off

Finishing the gym session, I walked out off the double doors and into the hall
Someone pulled my arm back, turning around to be met with a very upset Leah
"Alex" she whispered
I pulled my arm away from her
"Please" she whispered again
"Please what?" I said sternly
"Talk to me, I'm sorry" she whispered
"Not now Leah" I said as I turned my back from her

"Never turn you back on someone you love" my grandads voice said in my head

I turned back around to see Leah crying, I walked up to her and pulled her into a hug
She gripped tight and kept repeating "I'm sorry" over and over again

"I know Leah, I know" I whispered trying to calm her down

Eventually she calmed down, I pulled out the hug
"Look i don't want to talk here, how about we talk tonight at home okay?" I asked her
"Okay" leah smiled softly

I knocked on Leah's and mines door
"Hey" I said as she opened it
"Come in"
We went and sat down in the living room
"I'm sorry for jumping to conclusions and for saying that I can't trusted you" Leah said
"It's okay, I'm sorry for walking out" I said
"Just so it helps me, what exactly happened in the toilets"
"So obviously you know what happened at the bar, I saw Wally walk into the bathroom by herself so I went in to make sure she was okay. When I got into the bathroom she was crying so I pulled her into a hug and we stayed like that for a while and then I pulled out of the hug and helped her clean herself up because her make up was ruined and then pulled her back into another hug because I could see she was about to cry again. That's it that's all and then I came back out with her and came and sat next to you" I said

I pulled my phone out and opened it up to the full video of the cctv
"Come here, I'll show you the full cctv"
Leah came and sat next to me, I played the video and gave the phone to her

After finishing the video she gave my phone back
"Why would the news make it out like you kissed?" She said confused
"I don't know Leah, maybe to entertain the fans?" I suggested
"I'm so sorry" Leah said looking at me
I pulled her into a hug
"It's okay, I'm sorry as well"
"What are you sorry for?"
"Not thinking about how this could all plan out when I was helping Wally"
"You were helping a friend, you didn't expect it to turn like that" Leah said
" I guess"

"Can you stay here tonight?" Leah asked after a while
" of course I can, let me text Wally to tell her I'm not coming back to hers"
"Is that why you came to training with her this morning?" Leah asked
"Yeah I didn't know who else to stay at last night" I rubbed my back off my neck

I was sat in bed in my phone when Leah knocked on the door
"Can I stay in here tonight?" Leah asked from the door
"Of course you can, come on" I pulled back the covers, Leah came over to the bed and got in

After a while Leah moved closer to me and put her head in my chest, looking at my phone as I scrolled through Instagram, I put my arm around her pulling her even more closer
