Chapter 12: Shopping

"I think we need to go to the shops" i said as I slightly ran into the kitchen
"Why?" Leah asked
"My room is so plain, like I don't even have a painting on the wall" I emphasised the word 'so'
"And..." Leah said, sensing something else
"I wanna buy some new clothes" I let out a slight laugh
"We could go this afternoon?" Leah suggested
I nodded and ran up to my room

"Right you ready to go"
"Yeah" Leah said walking down the stairs
"Great" I grabbed the keys and opened the door, letting Leah pass
"Ohhhh such a gentleman" Leah teased, patting my shoulder as she walked past
I rolled my eyes and locked the door

"First stop Nike" I said putting my phone into my pocket and focusing on what I had to do

"You think this is nice" I asked holding up a Nike hoodie with a small Nike tick near the neckline
"Yeah, it's your colour" Leah shrugged
I grabbed some joggers and we made our way to the check out

"Afternoon" I smiled at the check out lady
She looked up and smiled at Leah and I
"Oh um hi... I wasn't expecting to look up and see the England captain in front of me" the girl stuttered
"Nice to meet you" Leah smiled softly at her
"May I get a photo" she questioned
Leah nodded and the girl handed her phone to me
"Have a nice day" we said walking out of the shop

"Do you want anything?" I asked Leah as we walked to our next shop
"No it's fine honestly"
"I might grab some cargos" I said grabbing a pair of black ones in my size, a little bit baggy but that's what I was aiming for
"They look good" Leah smiled up at me

"Food?" I asked her as we got out of the shop
"Sure, what about that new food place"
I nodded and put my arm around her shoulder, pulling her close to me as we walked

"Oh my gosh, that's Leah Williamson and Alex Brown" we heard from a group of younger girls
"Seems like you got some fans" I whispered to Leah, making her laugh

"Hey girls" Leah waved over at the group of girls
"May we have some photos with you two"
We both smiled and nodded

It started of calm... but turned quickly

Soon we were crowed by paparazzi, fans and people who didn't even know us trying to get photos with me and Leah, mainly Leah

I could tell she was panicking inside, but showing the world her strong side so people wouldn't judge her

I tried to push the fans back a little but being trapped in a tiny corner of a shopping centre wasn't the easiest thing to do

"Guys can you move back please, you will all get a photo we promise" I said, they listened but did nothing about it

"Can you move back" I said putting my hand over the paparazzi cameras and pushing back there cameras , every so slightly

The people who had come with there parents did listen and back off a bit, it was just the paparazzi and fans with out a grown adult with them making it challenging

I could see the slight shake in Leah's hand as she spoke to the fans, I knew I needed to take her out of this situation

I grabbed her shoulder and pulled her into me, covering her face in my neck and began to walk away from the crowd

We made our exit to the car park, I opened the door to the passenger side and made sure Leah got in safely and closed the door

I turned around to see that the paparazzi had followed
"Can you move back a bit" I said walking around the car and to the drives side

Being ignored, once again, some of the paparazzi moved to the passenger side window to get photos of Leah

I stormed over to the passenger side window and grabbed the cameras and pulling them down so they couldn't record Leah, while blocking the window

"You've got photos of Leah and I, so why are you still here?" I asked them all
"Just capturing your life"
"Why can't we do that for ourselves without being chased by camera men?"
They all went silent
"So now I suggest you all get moving away from the car so I can take Leah and myself home, you know like normal humans do"
I said walking over to the drivers side and getting in

"You okay?" I asked Leah as we got away from that situation
"Yes thank you, that's gonna be all over social media soon" Leah sighed
I put my hand on her thigh
"Don't worry I'll sort it out" I smiled softly at her

I decided to make a post on social media about what happened today

'So as most of you know Leah and I went out shopping today, like normal people do, when we got stopped to take photos with fans, which we happily said yes, the situation from just taking some photos with fans turned into a dangerous and scary situation for Leah and I.  We were followed into the car park by paparazzis trying to take more photos of us, I had put Leah in the passenger sit and asked nicely for the men to move, which they didn't, after completely ignoring me they moved to the passenger side window and started to try take photos of an already panicked Leah. I stepped and blocked the view of the window and grabbed the two cameras and pointed them downwards and then asked them why they were still here after getting multiple pictures of us ages ago, finally, they listened and backed away from the car and let Leah and I leave.

We are just normal people with normal lives which shouldn't be documented everywhere we go, people are making out like famous people don't go to the shops or go out to dinner... it's not that interesting, so please don't waste your time chasing and panicking people.

After making sure Leah was alright I went to bed and fell asleep, ready for tomorrow, which consisted of the same thing that everyone else do....
