Chapter 9: Sunny Day

"Girls we are going to this open space of water that's got a tree swing into the water and some grass for people who don't want to go in" Beth said in the changing rooms
"What after training?" I asked
"Yeah tonight because it's gonna be warm, you gonna go on the tree swing Alex"
"Of course I am" I giggled

"Al" I heard
Turning around I saw Leah
Leah's new nickname for me
"You alright" I smiled softly at her
"Can you drive us tonight?" Leah asked
I put my arm around her shoulder and pulled her closer to me
"Yeah sure, should we stop off at the shop on the way there and get some drinks and snacks for the girls?"
Leah nodded as we walked out for training

"Leah! What you wearing" I asked her
"Bikini, I'll put some shorts on to cover my bottom half until we get there" Leah said
"Alright, I'll wear a sports bra and football shorts to go into the water, I'll wear a t-shirt walking up there tho"

Leah walked out of her bedroom in her bikini with some Jean shorts covering her bottom half of her bikini
I stood staring at her
"My eyes are up here" she teased
I laughed and lifted my eyes to meet hers
I pulled her into a hug, my way of telling her how good she looked
"You ready?" I asked pulling out of the hug

Leah nodded and we set off for the shops
" I'll run in and get the things, what do you want?" I asked grabbing my wallet
"Just some raspberry lucazades please" Leah said handing me some money
"Don't worry I'll pay for it" I smiled

I walked into the shop and grabbed everything that we needed, I grabbed some sweets for Leah and I to share as well

"Got everything?" Leah said as I started the engine
I nodded and backed out of the parking spot

"Bethyyy" I shouted stepping out of the car and we pulled up to the car park
"Alexxx" Beth mimicked
I grabbed the bags out the bag and walked over with Leah to the girls
"We got some treats"
"Yeah same" most of them said pointing at there bags

We all began the walk into the wooded area and up to the area of water

"Look at it" Steph said looking at the water area
"It's so pretty" I agreed

We placed all our bags down, Leah pulled out a blanket and laid on it, I took of my shirt and ran into the water
"Come on the Beth!" I shouted
"Hold on, hold on"
Caitlin, Katie and Lotte joined us in the water

I ran up to the rope swing, I grabbed hold of it
"Watch this" i ran and jumped holding onto the rope swing until I was a decent height and then let go falling straight into the water
"That looks so fun!" Beth exclaimed running to the rope swing to have a go

We hung out in the water for a little bit more until we got up and went to our respected blankets

I was about to hug Leah until she throw a towel at me
"Dry your self first and then maybe you can have a hug" leah laughed
I dried myself and then went and laid on the blanket

We all talked for a few hours before Beth and I managed to convince Leah and viv to come into the water

I went in first and then stuck out my hand for Leah
"You pull me in and I'll kick you out of the house" Leah threatened
"Wouldn't dream of it"
Slowly Leah got into the water and walked over to me
I put my arm around her shoulder as hers went around my waist as we watched Beth getting shouted at my viv for pushing viv in
"Yeah Beth why would you do that" I teased making the girls look at me and Leah
Beth turned around and splashed water and me and Leah
"Beth!" Leah shouted
I stepped out of Leah grip and swam over to Beth
We started to have a 'water fight', more like splashing water at each other
"Can you two stop! Your getting me even more wet" viv said from behind Beth
"Your already in the water" I teased resulting in Beth and Viv teaming up and splashing me with water, I swam over to Leah and hugged her so my back was facing Beth and viv
"You two get me wet and ill make sure you pay for it" Leah threaten the other two
"She's literally hugging you Leah, your gonna get wet anyways"
"Yeah but al's different"
"Yeah your right she is" Caitlin snorted
I turned my head and looked at Caitlin before getting out the pool and then wiping my self on the towel and then chucking it at Caitlin, hitting her right in the face
"Nah to far Alex" Caitlin sulked
"You had it coming" Wally laughed from beside her

Leah laid down on our blanket, once she laid down I laid down and put my head on her stomach and carried on talking to the girls

I looked at the footpath to see two boys taking photos of Leah
I stood up
"Oi you two" I said walking over to them
"Show me your phones"
They took out there phones
I tapped on photos to see they had been taking photos of Leah
"What the fuck are these?" I said raising my voice
"Delete them now" i added
Leah walked over
"Al calm down" Leah said putting a hand on my shoulder
"They have been taking photos of you how can you tell me to calm down" I asked her
The boys showed me there phones and then apologised before walking off
Leah and I walked back to our blanket and carried on talking

We all packed up to go home, I was folding the blanket when Leah came up to me
"Can I wear your t-shirt?" Leah asked
"Of course you don't even have to ask" I smiled at her
Nervous. That's what she was after those boys took photos of her, she didn't want it to happen again

We walked back down to the cars , I made sure never to leave Leah's side, I kept my arms around her shoulder to let her know I was there for her...

Finally after a long day we pulled up outside the house
"I'm so tired" Leah said walking into the kitchen
"At least we have tomorrow off" I smiled at her
"Good" Leah mumbled
"I forgot, my cousins needs her baby looking after tomorrow so I offered to look after her" Leah said sitting down at the table
"Can't wait to meet her" I smiled at Leah
"I don't expect you too look after her, you can go out if you want so you don't have to listen to the baby crying most the day" Leah giggled softly
"Do you not want me there?" I asked
"No I do but you might not"
"Then that's tomorrow planned, look after baby - what's her name" I asked
"Alice"
"Look after baby Alice" I smiled
"Thank you" Leah came up and hugged me
