i asked calmly looking at jake
"i ask first. who's this and why do you have jakey's phone?"
"jakey?" i scoffed
"please give the phone to jakey please"

i said with a cold tone
somehow it made him quiet, hmm trying to remember something perhaps?
"wait is this the guy who we bumped into when we were grocery shopping?"

"why do you have his phone and where is he? is he ok? he hasn't answered our texts and calls"
"he's asleep"
"what!?"
sunghoon exclaimed hard that i had to get the phone away from my ear
"please wake him up and let him call me asap when he does"
he sounded so serious

as i put the phone down i noticed the traffic is moving so we did move
as we got out of the traffic, jake woke up
"hey where are we?" he asks
"we are close" i replied focusing myself on the road
i noticed he nodded and checked his phone
he suddenly looked at me confused
"what's wrong?" i asked looking back and fort at him and in the road
"sunghoon.." he started hesitant and confused
"what about him?"
"he said, "i'm waiting for the call." and "that's it i'm gonna pick you up."
"what did i miss?" he confusedly ask
i giggled. "he called minutes ago looking for you and i said you were asleep and suddenly he became rude"
"rude?" jake shockingly said
"yeah, i was going to say that we're on our way but he hung up on me" i said with calmly
"oh and i'm sorry if i answered the call, he was calling every second and the ringtone was kinda loud, i didn't wanna wake you and layla up"
i said and turned to layla to smile
she barked and knew that was approved
"no it's ok hyung" he said with worries
"don't worry ikue we're here" i patted his head softly that made him smile at me
as i stopped in the entrance
suddenly sunghoon came running worriedly
"jakey why didn't you answer my calls and texts?" he said grabbing gently his shoulders
"i fell asleep—”
sunghoon spoke in the middle of his explanation
"i know, why are you with him?" he looked at me coldly putting jake behind him
"hoon seriously, jake has his own life and friends why are you so grandma" someone spoke beside him, i think it's his manager
"shut up jay" sunghoon said as the guy who's jay apparently rolled his eyes on him
i stood there, resting my hands inside my sweat pants, as i remained silent and calm
"hyung offered to drive me here, that time you called i fell asleep during traffic so hyung picked up the phone call" jake explained
"w-wait, you mean this dude picked up my call during traffic? so like you were on your way?" sunghoon confusedly ask, desperately trying to connect the dots
"that's literally what he said" jay then again said with a i'm-so-done-with-his-dumbness tone
"jay i swear to god" hoon managed to reply
jay then again mentally face palmed
as sunghoon continues to look deeply into jakes eyes for answers
"yes.." jake said as he pierced his lips
"why didn't you tell me?" he turned to ask me
"i was going to but you hung up on me" i explained with no emotions
he deeply sighed "ok we gotta get going jake we have a lot to do" sunghoon said holding jakes waist to go inside
"ikue" they stopped walking as they both turned to me as i called
"layla" i said and jake lit up
"oh right my baby" he came running to me as i held layla
"i'm sorry girl, moma needs to work again" jake cutely talked to layla like it was his baby
that made me smile actually
he was cute.
"hyung could you bring him to your place? i'll pick him up later, hyung please" he plead with his puppy eyes
"why would i turned this cute thing down?" i said as i looked at him
"hyung thank you" he happily jumped and hugged both of us layla

we look like a married couple with our daughter
"herm, no layla can stay here" sunghoon suggested
"really?" jake lit up
i suddenly felt angry
"it's ok i can take care of her" i spoke looking at sunghoon
"no layla can stay here"
"layla will stay with me"
as we both glaired at each other
"guys, layla will stay here" jake clarified that made sunghoon wore his proudest smile
"but seungie hyung will be too" jake added
i can see sunghoon's face went from :) to :/
"is that ok seungie hyung? since layla won't let you go" jake smiled
"yes of course ikue" i smiled and patted gently his head
