Chapter 54: solitude

3rd Person POV

"Tommy! This is absolute bullshit, I am just fine." Y/n protested as Tommy leaned on the door. "Y/n last time we saw you, you got blown up from a firework. I don't trust that god bitch so your playing patient this time." Tommy said, annoyed. "Coming from the guy who doesn't know the first thing about medicine" Y/n giggled, "cmon, as the doctor here, i can conclude that I am fine." She said, attempting to get off the bed but Tommy lightly pushed her back down. "No." He said. She sighed in defeat and patted the side of the bed. "If i'm going to be stuck here you can at least tell me why you asked me about-" suddenly, Wilbur walked in. "Ah, good morning Y/n!" He said, a pleasant smile on his face. "Wil can you tell your brother to stop being a overprotective bitch? I'm locked in here apparently" she sighed as Tommy's head shot up. "I would if this wasn't fully my idea." Y/n immediately frowned, so Wilby wasn't on her side either. Shit.

"Will... don't tell me this was your idea.." Y/n mumbled. Wilburs look hardened , "it's for your own good Y/n. If you get hurt I swear to god i'm going to get unhinged" he said, hugging me. I understood he was worried and shit but come on, this is mad!" Y/n said, looking at Wilbur with intense concern. He brushed what she said off "Listen Y/n, we realize that Schlatt has nobodt supporting him anymore after the festival so here's our plan, we are calling the plan i'm about to say to you is called pogback, its very simple. We are going to construct a railway connecting Manberg to Pogtopia for fast travel between our two nations" Wil explained, leaning on the stone wall. "We intend to have it ready to operate by November 8th."

She stayed dead silent, this was really happening, they were really going to war... "okay... who's on which side?" She asked slowly. "Dream is on Manberg, Fundy and Tubbo are on our side, the Badlands are on our side, Rutabagville is on Manberg. That's all we know for now" Tommy said. She looked to the ground, remembering Dream. She wondered if he is still mad at her... They both saw her look darken. "Don't tell me your thinking about him" Wilbur said. "Can't help it, I kind of backstabbed him." She said, curling into a ball. Tommy sighed. "He was there, at the banquet. He saw it happen and he was pissed. I don't think he hates you if that's what stuck on your mind" Tommy said. Wilbur scoffed and left the room, closing the door behind him. "You have a lot of people who care about you Y/n. Never forget that" Tommy said. "Why'd you do it though?" He asked.

She looked up at him confused. "Why'd I do what..?" His eyes suddenly teared up and shook my shoulders. "WHY'D YOU LET YOURSELF GET SHOT?!" He cried, tears starting to go down his face. "Why...?" He whispered, hugging her. She sighed, he must have been holding in those tears cause so many people were there... she hugged him back, tears in her eyes as well. "Tubbs didn't deserve to die..." she whispered. Tommy looked at her. "Bullshit Y/n, mind telling me the real reason?" He asked. She bit her lip, she didn't want him to worry about her, he already had enough stress as is with everything going on. "I don't know what your talking about" she lied. He frowned, he knew her well, he knew that she would hide her pain so that those around her wouldn't worry, he hated that about her so much. "Y... please you can tell me" he said.

"Do your really... really want to know?" She asked, looking at the floor. He quickly nodded. She sighed in defeat and looked into his sky blue eyes, her closest friend, the one who had been at her side through it all without judge. "I wanted to die Tom. I wanted to escape this- this life. Being chased down by XD, it... it was so much pressure and I wasn't thinking about what I would loose and-" her voice began to break down and she covered her mouth as tears went down her eyes. Tommy was dead silent, she wanted to die...? Wait what?! He gripped her tight, he has never been this vulnerable in front of anybody in his entire life, not even in front of Tubbo. She saved Tubbo's life, but she would just give her life up...? His mind was racing with thoughts as he held his best friend in his arms. DreamXD has ruined her life. He ruined her life, he ruined her life. And he couldn't help her in any way shape or form. He was no match for gods...

"Thank you for telling me..." he said, stroking her hair in attempts to comfort her. "You scared so many people, me, Tubbo, Niki, Wilbur, Dream, Sapnap, you have so many people on your side" he said. "Never do that again" she nodded. "I promise"

She bit her lip, knowing that it would be a promise she couldn't keep.
