Chapter 58: Meetup with you know not

Y/n's pov:

At some point I stopped running.

I leaned on a tree to help catch my breath. I couldn't believe Erit of all fucking people had to show up. I let out an annoyed groan and combed my hand through my hair.

However my thoughts were cut short when an arrow whizzed next to my face and stuck right next to my head. I gasped and ran behind the tree. God dammit i'm never gonna catch a break... I pulled up my hood and face mask.

"Come out from behind the tree and identify yourself immediately!" A familiar voice growled. My stomach sunk when I heard the voice, I knew exactly who it belonged to. "Nice to see you again Dream" I said, coming out from behind the tree with my hands in the air. He was taken aback and his grip on the crossbow loosened just a smidge. His white oval mask staring right at my face. "Your alive...?" He asked in disbelief. "I mean I am unless you shoot me" I said, lowering my hands. "Long time no see"

He ran up to me and hugged me tightly, which caught me off guard with all the complicated history we had. His brain finally processed that I was an enemy of the country. "Wait, what the fuck are you doing here?!" He asked. "I wanted to pay Sapnap a visit but it got cut short by Erit" I muttered the last part. He nodded, "yeah Sap missed you a lot to the point where he was curled up on the couch and just worrying about you." He chuckled. "So what are you doing out here?" She asked. He stayed quiet, "None of your concern" he said, leaning on a tree. "You shouldn't be here."

I scoffed at that. "Please, if any guards come for me they won't know whats coming for them" I said confidently. "I'm not worried about the guards Y/n." He said coldly. I gave him a confused look as a chill went down my spine. "I'm worried about me being around you."

I bit my lip, remembering what he did it the past (see chapters 24 25 or 26) "Your probably right." I said, sadness filling up my soul. As horrible things as Dream had done to me and my friends, a part of me missed those days where we used to hunt together and when I would treat an arrow wound in his shoulder. But I had to let go of that happy world a long time ago, and its not going to come back. "I'll leave then." I said, turning to leave. But Dream suddenly grabbed my wrist. "Answer one question though Y/n." He said, looking at me intensely. "Did you ever really love me or was this all just a one sided game?" He asked. I bit my lip, thinking about if I should tell him the truth or not. "I did." I said. "Before XD, I liked you a lot actually"

Even though I couldn't see his face, I could tell he was grieving. He let go of my wrist and didn't say a word. "I'm sorry..." I mumbled as I walked away. Guilt filled my whole body and tears threatened to go down my face. This was so messed up. My logic hates him, but my heart still beats for him. And it tears my opinion is two. He didn't follow me after that.

If I had never fallen into that pond, never touched that stone, never met XD, none of this... none of this would have ever happened. I let out a sigh that made my throat hurt. My feeling and emotions were fucked up.

Eventually I made it back to the secret minecart track and pulled the minecart out from behind the tree and onto the track. I had checked multiple times to make sure Dream wasn't following me and every time I never saw anyone or anything suspicious. So I pressed the button and the minecart shot down the track.

It took around 20 minutes before the cart went thunk and I had arrived back to Pogtopia. The second I walked in I heard my name being yelled at the top of Wilburs lungs. "Y/N?! WHERE DID YOU GO?!" He yelled, panic filling the room. It suddenly hit me that I was gone for awhile and I didn't tell anyone where I was. "I'm right here Will." I said plainly, going down one of the many staircases. "Bloody hell where did you go?! I thought you abandoned us!" Guilt filled my stomach when Will said that. "I was just exploring." I lied, walking up to him. His eyes narrowed and I forgot how good he was at decoding lies. "Exploring." He repeated, obviously not convinced. "What else would I be doing?" I asked.

He was definitely not convinced whatsoever.

"Y/n for the love of god stop lying to me!" He said, annoyance in his voice. She bit her lip, she was usually really good at lying but Will knew whenever she was. "Its nothing." She said, going to her room. "Nothing??" He said, grabbing her hand and forcing her to look at him. "God dammit Y/n just tell me!!" He yelled. She jumped at the sudden raise of voice. "I was just visiting my brother damn!" She said, pulling her arm away. "I'm going to bed." She huffed, closing the door behind her. She immediately began to pack her bag, filling it with weapons, clothes, anything she would need. She already told Techno that she was coming via crow, (Bless your heart Phil). 20 minutes later she closed her bag and zipped it up. It was late at night and she didn't know who was and wasn't asleep. She wrote a letter to each and every one of the others explaining why she left and her last words to then. She placed it carefully on her bed. She took one more look at her room before shutting the door. Her footsteps were light and delicate so that nobody would hear her walking around in the echoing caverns.

The only thing left was to get there.
