・゚゚・。 Dom had woken up in her hut, bandages on her knuckles. She looked around, spotting Neteyam cutting fruit.
"What were you thinking?" He asked, his tone sharp. Dom flinched as she sat up.
"I don't understand." She whispered, cradling her hand in her lap.
"No. I don't understand. Why did you run away and fall asleep on the rocks. You could've been hurt!"
"I didn't go outside the reef and I know how to take care of myself." Dom reasoned.
"Is that so? Because I'm pretty sure you needed me to save you when Ao'nung's friend had you." Neteyam set the knife down, standing up.
Standing up as well, Dom was growing furious. "That's not fair. Why are you being like this?"
"Kiri asked for you. She was hurt when Norm said you had run off." Neteyam glared down at her. Dom was hurt that he'd assume the worst of her, but deep down she understood that he was protecting his sister. But her anger refused to let her be rational.
"Did you even think to ask him why I ran off? Or did you just assume the worst of me because I'm human?" She shouted, standing her ground.
"Don't do that. You know I don't care that you're human. You grew up with us, so I expected more from you."
"Okay, you know what? I'm so sorry that I have my own things to deal with. I'm sorry that I've been mourning my brother by myself because you all moved on so fast. You're all so happy all the time, living life like he never existed. He's my brother! I can't just hear that there's been no sign of him, no proof that he's alive, and then put on a fake smile and act like everything's fine!" Dom looked down, ripping her mask off so she could angrily wiping her tears away.
"Stop that." Neteyam's voice was quieter than before. "Dominique I said stop!" His voice grew more loud as he pulled her hands off her face. "You're going to hurt your eyes." He gently wiped her tears away, frowning when he realized she was shaking. He pulled her mask back over her face, letting her catch her breath.
Dom backed up, wrapping her arms around herself as she sat down, looking as small as she felt. She silently cried, feeling awful for hurting Kiri. She jumped when Neteyam rested his hand on her arm as he kneeled in front of her.
Slowly, she looked up at him. Worry and regret was sketched onto his face as he slipped her mask off and cupped her cheek, using his thumbs to wipe away her tears again. When he removed his hands, Dom put her mask on and took a deep breath.
"I'm sorry." He whispered. "I should've realized you were hurting."
"You all seemed so happy. I didn't want to bring your mood down."
Neteyam gently pulled her into a hug, running a hand through her hair. "I'm sorry for yelling. I never should have assumed you would hurt Kiri. She was very sensitive when she woke up and it pained me to see her like that. I shouldn't have assumed the worst of you."
"I shouldn't have yelled either. I'm sorry." Dom spoke quietly, resting her head against his chest.
"I love you." He kissed the top of her head.
"I love you too." She replied, tracing the stripes on his arms. After moments of silence, Dom spoke up again. "I need to go see Kiri."
Neteyam hesitated to let his love go, wanting nothing more than to keep hugging her after their fight. But he knew that she needed to speak with his sister, so he loosened his grip. "She's outside."
Dom gently caressed the side of his face before standing up. Upon exiting the hut, she found Kiri sitting next to the entrance.
"I heard." She whispered. "I'm sorry for also assuming the worst."
"Don't apologize. I should be apologizing. I ran off and I hurt you. It was selfish of me to do that and I'm sorry."
"No, no, it wasn't selfish. You are hurting. I'm sorry for not noticing. I've kept Spider in the back of my mind because I fear that I might not see him again. It hurts less when I don't think of him."
Dom hummed in response. "I don't think I can push his memory to the back of my mind. He's my twin, quite literally the other half of me."
"Let's talk to each other about him more. Our favorite memory of him, anything to remember him by."
"That's a good idea." Dom smiled softly, gently reaching over and squeezing Kiri's hand. The girl returned the smile, happy to have her friend back.

Later that day, the peaceful silence was broken with cheers from the Metkayina. Kiri and Dom sat inside the hut, the na'vi braiding the human girl's hair.
"Kiri! Dom! Come on!" Tuk shouted, entering the hut.
"Leave us alone." Kiri groaned. Tuk didn't listen, pulling their hands. Sighing, Kiri allowed her sister to drag them out.
Their eyes widened at the sight of all the tulkun.
"Whoa." Dom whispered.
"Dominique!" Neteyam shouted, riding his ilu near the bridge. Dom smiled as he helped her down and onto the back of his ilu. Once she was on, he held her thigh and swam off towards the large creatures.
Dom grinned, seeing everyone swimming with their spirit brothers and sisters. Neteyam tapped her leg, pointing towards a mother and her baby once he had her attention.
Needing air, Neteyam instructed his ilu to swim back to the surface. Looking around, both the na'vi and the human smiled as they watched the tulkun and skimwings swim around them.
"Come! I will show you my spirit brother!" Rotxo gestured for them to follow him. Kiri and Tuk swam near them, bright smiles on their faces when they saw Rotxo's spirit brother.
Rotxo gestured for them to grab onto his brother's fin. Once they had a good hold, the tulkun began swimming around. Dom looked to her right, seeing Tuk's bright smile. On her left, Neteyam nudged her with his foot.
Dom turned to face him, the smile on her face matching his. As the tulkun slowed down, Dom signed to Neteyam. Where is your brother?
He pointed to a tulkun not far away from them. Dom saw Tsireya next to the creature, Lo'ak swimming near the surface with a look of admiration on his face.
Definitely going to tease him about that. Neteyam grinned. Dom laughed, expecting no less from him.
She looked around more, smiling more when she saw na'vi babies swimming with the tulkun as well. Everything in the reef seemed so peaceful compared to the war she had experienced in the forest. Dom moved closer to Neteyam, resting her head on his arm. She never wanted moments like these to end.
Everyone was so happy here, far away from the effects of war.
Dom thought back to her brother. She wanted nothing more than for him to be here with them.
