"Are you sure?" Louis asked. "Was it Luke?"

I nodded. "Yeah. It was tough to watch him do that." I rubbed my shoulder. My arm was wrapped in a cast and in a sling. He shot me right above my elbow. I had apparently lost quite a bit of blood, but I felt fine. I had a feeling it was because Evie didn't listen to me.

"I can't believe he would do that." Louis shook his head. He stuffed his hands in his pockets. "I feel like he has a better head on his shoulders than that."

I shrugged. "I guess not. He needs to stop turning my life into Twlight."

Louis laughed. "At least he didn't shoot away your humor, Horan."

Evie walked into the room. She was pale and her eyes were red. I knew she wasn't sleeping at Louis' house, but I didn't want her to sleep at the hospital. She couldn't go back home. It was a crime scene.

Louis patted her shoulder and walked out of the room.

"Luke wasn't at his hotel." She told me. "And there's a major fight going on between the fandoms and I'm in the middle of it. I got death threats on my way here."

She rubbed her arm and looked at the ground. "I just want things to go back to the way they were." She choked. Tears fell from her eyes. I opened up my arm and she laid in the little bed next to me. She buried her face into my chest and cried.

"It's all my fault." She whispered. "I know it is."

"No it's not, baby." I whispered against the top of her head. "You didn't tell Luke to do this."

"But I shouldn't have forgotten you. It would be ok if I hadn't forgotten."

"That's not your fault either."

"Hey. Hey sit up for a second, love." She sat up and I wiped the tears off her face. I could tell she actually thought it was her fault. She wasn't being dramatic for attention. She wasn't crying crocodile tears.

Evie, my Evie, actually thought she made Luke attempt murder.

"It's not your fault, Evangeline." I whispered. I kissed her forehead. "It's not your fault."

She sniffed and stood up. She wiped her eyes again. She kept nodding over and over again, like she was trying to get herself to realize the truth.

"You ready?" Louis opened the door. "Eleanor wants take-out."

Evie nodded. She turned to me again and waved. "I love you." She said, choking.

"I love you more." I blew her a kiss. She smiled and walked out the door. Louis assured me he would keep an eye on her until they released me the next day.

A police officer stayed outside my room most of the time. They were afraid someone would break into my room and try to finish the job, as they so gently put it.

I couldn't sleep that night. I remembered what Evie said about the fandom war that was going on online. I decided to check and see what was going on. Not surprisngly, Evie was right.

I read a bunch of arguments between Directioners and the 5SOSFam. It was driving a wedge between us and 5SOS as well. It was like we were back in summer and 5SOS was mad at me. Louis had said some things, as he usually does. Calum tried defending his friend. Michael unfollowed me on all social media. Ashton just kept tweeting pictures to try and lighten the mood. Harry tweeted "all the love" but didn't sign it. He wanted the tweet to be from everyone to everyone. Liam was too scared to go on social media. He texted me "help".

The worst thing was reading what people were saying about Evie. They actually thought it was her fault. They wanted to go back in time and change it to when she didn't exist. They wished it would all go away. They blamed Evie for all pain, even the pain that was self-inflicted.
