Evie

A couple days after Niall was released, we were sitting at the dining room table. We had wedding invitations to address. For a while, we fought over the setting of the wedding. We settled on his church, and then the park for the reception.

When we had finally settled that, we finally had the chance to get them written.

"Here." He handed me a cup of coffee.

"Thanks." I said, quietly. "Why do you know so many people?"

"I'm a people person." He shrugged and sat down.

"You've gotten shot twice." I said, without thinking. He started laughing, thankfully. I thought I was going to upset him. I looked away from him, because I didn't want to think about what I had done to him.

There was a knock at the door. I answered it, and saw Louis, standing in the doorway, crying a little.

"Louis?" I asked. "Are you ok?"

"I...I got kicked out." He said. "Eleanor broke up with me."

I grabbed his arm and pulled him inside. I sat him down next to Niall and rubbed his back. "What happened?"

"She...She told me I was...Paying too much attention to your relationship and not enough to mine and hers."

"She said that?" I was a little shocked. I thought it was rude. I thought that was above Eleanor.

"I'm sorry, mate." Niall patted his back with his good arm. "It'll be alright. You can stay with us until you can get things settled."

I got up so Niall and Louis could take a minute. I went outside and checked the post. I opened the mailbox and flipped through the letters. I found an interesting letter from the BRIT awards. It only made me raise my eyebrows because usually nomination announcements get sent to the record company. This letter was addressed directly to Niall.

I went inside and handed Niall the letter. Louis was in the kitchen trying to find food.

"What is it for?" I asked. "I thought you said they send it to Syco."

He was as confused as I was. He opened up the letter with a knife. He read it, but that just confused him even more.

"Well?" I said.

"The BRIT people want me to accept an award." He said.

"Hey, that's great." I sat down next to him. I put my hand on his back. "What are you guys accepting?"

"Not us. Just me." He set the letter down. Louis picked it up off the table, wiping his eyes so he could read it.

"What did you do that was so...Oh. Yeah you deserve that." Louis handed him the letter. He nodded, trying to convince Niall that he deserved something.

"What is it?" I demanded to know.

"Niall is winning a BRIT." Louis said. "For..." He looked at the letter and deepened his voice. "For ultimate bravery when protecting people he loves."

"Ultimate bravery..." I whispered. "Oh my gosh. Niall, you won an award!"

"I'm not accepting." Niall shook his head.

"What?" Louis and I said at the same time.

"I can't accept this. I am not..." He got up. He went upstairs, heavily sighing. I looked at Louis, and he looked at me.

"I'm going to go check on him." I said. "Niall!" I called up the stairs. "Niall, sweetheart!" I knocked on the door. "Babe, please open the door for me." I tried to open the door. "Let me in, please."
