The Big House was, as its name indicated, big.

You're not the smartest one, are you?

The vestibule was decorated with ornate details, such as carved reliefs on the walls depicting scenes from Greek mythology and motifs inspired by the gods. Large ceramic vases adorned the corners, filled with fresh flowers emitting soft and pleasant fragrances.

The interior corridors were flanked by elegant columns that gave a sense of continuity with the exterior architecture. The high ceilings were decorated with hand-painted frescoes depicting celestial landscapes, epic battles, and Greek gods in all their glory.

They ascended one of the side staircases and entered through the first door on the second floor, where the word "Dionysus" was indicated.

Upon entering the office, Haerin found herself in a warm and welcoming environment. The walls were lined with fine oak wood, subtly engraved with vine leaves and clusters of grapes. The lighting was dim but warm, creating an intimate atmosphere.

Along the walls were shelves filled with bottles of wine of various shapes and colors, each one labeled.

What a drunkard.

He's the god of wine, what did you expect?

In the center of the office, there was a finely carved wooden desk, covered with carefully placed papers and scrolls. The desk was surrounded by a comfortable and luxurious leather chair. On the other side of the desk were two smaller leather chairs, where Haerin sat in one of them. Dionysus sat in his chair, and the centaur stood by his side, obviously, in the office.

"Well, Hyerin, you're probably confused about what this place is, who you are, whether Chiron can go to the bathroom like a normal person, whether you're dreaming..."

Chiron raised an eyebrow and shifted his gaze from Dionysus to Haerin, ignoring her comment.

"...and he will answer all those doubts after I pour myself a glass of wine and introduce myself."

As he said that, he got up, took a glass from one of the shelves, and headed for one of the wine bottles, grabbing one that looked the oldest. With a single hand, he managed to open it, but as soon as he began pouring its contents into the glass, it turned into water.

Dionysus sighed, and Chiron burst into laughter.

"I don't know why you keep trying."

The god huffed, "I'll keep doing it until I can drink it."

"Then you'll have to wait at least another hundred years."

Dionysus left the glass on the table as he muttered curses under his breath.

"Well, newbie. This is Camp Odyssey, and I am, unfortunately, its director. Chiron is the activities director. You can find me here for whatever you need, but please, don't. On the lower floor, down the left hallway, you have the infirmary where you can avoid dying and all that stuff. And with that, I bid you farewell."

And in an instant, the god disappeared through the door, leaving Haerin and Chiron alone in the room.

"Does he have to make it so clear that he doesn't like this job?" she asked.

Chiron laughed. "He doesn't consider it a job, it's more like a punishment from his father, Zeus."

Haerin nodded, still a little confused by all the Greek mythology stuff.

"Dionysus isn't that bad, he's funny, but it's true that he has no vocation for teenagers."

"This place is full of them."
