Haerin woke up earlier than expected. She could see some light coming in through the windows at the ends of the cabin, but it wasn't much. Nevertheless, her rest was enough.
The sweet and intense smell of the cabin had accompanied her throughout the night until she finally got used to it and fell asleep. At first, it was a bit challenging as many of her siblings kept the lights on, reading magazines or drawing in notebooks. However, she managed to find a room away from all that, sharing the room with another four and her bed next to another girl, Chaeryeong if she remembered correctly. Yuna introduced them briefly, but the other girl seemed in a hurry and she was sleepy, so they had to postpone proper introductions for another day.
The beds were quite unusual; they didn't look like camp beds. They had canopies and a small platform beside the headboard for campers to store their belongings. At least the beds were very comfortable, with feather pillows and soft duvets, something she could be thankful for. Next to her bed was a wooden trunk where she could keep her things, although it was half-empty due to the lack of her belongings.
Wonyoung wanted to give her a new pajama, but she declined. She couldn't accept so much from her, and besides, that silk pajama, although comfortable-looking, was also revealing. She didn't know Wonyoung was into that.
The camp shirt she wore the day before was no longer plain; now it had a dove in the center. It was pretty, she wouldn't deny it, and it made her feel included in the cabin. Still, she noticed that the campers in that cabin didn't wear much camp apparel, as she observed that very morning. She kept the dress she wore yesterday, just in case she needed it later, although she doubted it.
Some of them didn't wear anything camp-related at all; they dressed in elegant regular clothes, which seemed uncomfortable in the midst of the countryside and all the running they had to do. But none of them seemed to mind because their clothes remained unwrinkled and unsoiled. The blessing of Aphrodite, most likely.
Speaking of the blessing, it was incredible how her hair and makeup remained intact. Her face wasn't swollen after sleeping, no signs of sleep or fatigue. She still looked like a Vogue model. At least that way, she didn't feel out of place among her siblings.
Finally, she decided to get out of bed and head to the bathrooms to freshen up. Her siblings had offered her so much more clothing, each piece more elegant than the other, but she chose to stick with the camp shirts. Chiron had given her more shirts and pants, and she found them to be super comfortable. The only thing she kept from the blessing outfit were the new sandals, which were extremely comfortable.
The bathrooms in Aphrodite's cabin were true oases of personal care. The walls were adorned with mosaic tiles enriched with images of flowers and mythological creatures related to love. The washbasins were sculpted from white marble with golden details, featuring taps shaped like swans or delicate flowers dispensing scented water. The showers were separated by frosted glass partitions with floral motifs, and the showerheads emitted a gentle and fragrant mist. There was a small corner with several folding bamboo doors where campers could change their clothes.
Aphrodite's cabin looked like a spa.
Haerin washed her face and began to dress, finding only two campers inside the bathroom. They greeted each other briefly; it was too early to socialize. The rooms were divided into four between the first and second floors, and Haerin could see that some of her siblings were also getting ready. Wonyoung shared a room with Sakura, Minjeong, and someone else whose name she couldn't remember.
Poor thing.
Wonyoung and Sakura or your other forgotten sister?
Both.
