For Kim Minji, the cabins of Apollo and Aphrodite were the perfect embodiment of Ken and Barbie: bottled blondes, plastic, and hollow. She couldn't believe she could feel such disgust for those show-offs, constantly wasting everyone else's time at the camp. At least the children of Apollo were useful in healing and archery, but all that utility vanished the moment they opened their mouths. And the worst part was that these two cabins, obviously, had to get along.

Minji admitted that there were unbearable people all over the camp itself, but it was horrible to have to deal and live with more than fifty of them every day. The only relief for her was that at least they didn't bother her in competitions or training, and the few children of Apollo she crossed paths with were the most tolerable. They only went to the archery range, which Minji didn't dislike, but it wasn't her favorite, so she didn't crossed paths with them often.

The princes and princesses of those cabins would never set foot in the arena for fear of sweating or staining their clothes.

That was fine.

It was perfect.

Until now.

What annoyed her the most at the moment was a certain girl who bothered her as if the cabins of Apollo and Aphrodite merged within her. And the worst part is that, for some reason unknown to her, this girl didn't mind getting dirty.

Kim Minji was reaching her limit with Kang Haerin.

She wouldn't deny it; the girl was making an effort. But she would never reach where Minji was. However, what bothered her the most wasn't her attitude in the arena; Minji was used to dealing with the ego of her friends from the Ares cabin. It didn't bother her that Haerin challenged her or always sought attention or victory.

What bothered Minji about Kang Haerin were two things.

One of them was her damn eyes.

Kim Minji always loved animals, from a young age. She remembered how much she enjoyed playing with Cerberus in the Underworld. She considered animals loyal and affectionate, great companions when you're alone. And she always loved cats too.

When she first saw Kang Haerin in Capture the Flag, she could only focus on those damn eyes. Those eyes were so deep that they distracted her so much during the chariot race. She was enchanted, and she hated that. More than once, she remembered looking for those eyes in the camp's dining hall, discreetly watching how Aphrodite's daughter ate. Those cat-like eyes that seemed to look into her soul made her nervous. They shone with an intensity that made her want to look away, but at the same time, she couldn't stop observing them.

She hated them.

However, she enjoyed seeing those eyes darken with anger or hatred towards her when she managed to annoy Haerin.

The other thing that bothered her so much was her damn body scent. Minji could smell her perfectly from afar because Haerin always bathed in perfume, and the Aphrodite cabin always reeked of a sweet scent. But that didn't bother Minji. For some reason, beneath all that perfume, she could distinguish Haerin's body personal scent. A less sweet and cloying smell but even more addictive. Haerin's unique body smell that seeped through her cloud of overpowering perfumes. It was like a drug for Minji, invading her senses and clouding her judgment. It drove her completely crazy. It seemed like she had her scent engraved in her head. It made her so nervous to be peacefully training or in her cabin and suddenly smell Haerin.

Minji was going to go crazy.
