"Haerin, turn off that trash," Minji grumbled, burying herself in her girlfriend's neck as she hugged her even tighter.

Haerin blinked slowly, adjusting to the dim light filtering into the room, and let out a groan at the alarm clock, which had been going off every five minutes for a while.

She stretched her arm as best she could, but between the blankets and her girlfriend's body, it was hard to get untangled. However, just as she was about to hit the alarm, it fell to the floor, still blaring.

Haerin let out another groan, patting the floor in search of the clock. She grabbed it and, with her other hand, rubbed her eyes while checking the time.

Wednesday, 8:00 a.m.

I can still sleep a little more.

She finally turned off the infernal sound and snuggled back into her girlfriend.

Wednesday... Wednesday... 8:00 a.m.

"Shit!" she shot up, startling Minji, who fell off the bed. "The exam!"

"What exam?" Minji asked from the floor, rubbing her head from the impact.

"The final design exam!" Haerin yelled, leaping over her to reach the wardrobe. "It's at eight-thirty!"

How could she have forgotten? God, she was going to fail.

"It's eight," Minji murmured, looking at the digital clock now resting on the floor next to her.

"I know! And it's all your fault!" Haerin accused, pulling out random clothes. "You convinced me to watch a movie last night!"

"You wanted to watch it," Minji protested, sitting on the floor and watching amused as her girlfriend panicked. "And you were the one who kept saying, 'just five more minutes,' every time I reminded you to study."

Haerin stopped halfway through pulling on her pants, almost falling over and bumping into a piece of furniture. Minji had to stifle a laugh to avoid stressing her girlfriend even more.

"Because you distracted me!" she protested. "You kissed me!"

"You kissed me first."

"Whatever!" Haerin managed to get her pants on and grabbed the first shirt she found. "I was supposed to review!"

The exam was simple: create a design on the spot using the materials provided at that moment. You could get lucky with something decent like fabrics or, as Jennie had told her once, make a dress out of literal water.

Both Haerin and Jennie still wondered how the older one had managed to pass that class.

"Well," Minji finally stood up, stretching, "technically, you did review... my lips."

A pillow flew directly at her face, but Minji dodged it with ease.

"It's not funny!" Haerin dashed into the bathroom. "The professor's going to kill me!"

"I can take you," Minji offered, leaning against the bathroom doorframe while her girlfriend tried to brush her teeth and fix her hair at the same time. "With the shadows, you'd get there in a second."

Haerin spat out the toothpaste, looking at her in horror through the mirror.

"No way! I threw up my breakfast last time."

"That was last year," Minji argued. "You've improved a lot since then."

"I still hate it!" Haerin rinsed her mouth. "It makes me nauseous just thinking about it."
