The following days were quite boring in her opinion. She didn't have much to do beyond constant training, meals with her siblings, and avoiding being consumed by her thoughts during her free time. That last part was the worst, as every spare moment her mind drifted to kisses and pain, both caused by Kim Minji.

It was incredible how one person could affect her so profoundly, both positively and negatively. Every time she went to the arena, memories of that training session haunted her, but luckily, they faded as the days went by. The feeling of Minji's body on hers, the intensity of her gaze, the warmth of her breath... all of it replayed over and over in her head, mixing with the frustration and confusion she felt.

But she refused to let it get the best of her.

She had promised herself to forget everything.

In the end... That was what Kim Minji wanted, right?

Though it was difficult at first, it wasn't impossible. Haerin found herself each day ignoring her, or at least trying to, and gradually she managed to notice her presence less and less. However, every time she made progress on the matter, her mind had to punish her by recalling that vulnerable and sweet side of Kim Minji. She had to remember the feeling of her hands, her kisses, her caresses, her gaze. And when that happened, Haerin cursed and tried even harder the next day. And so it went every day.

Luckily, Chiron decided to surprise them one day with a sort of celebration for the arrival of summer and to welcome back the rest of the campers returning to camp. There would be three days of free activities, without training, to break the monotony a bit.

At least she could distract herself a little, right?

Danielle was busy with her siblings fixing some instruments and composing music with them.

Haerin had always envied the ease with which Apollo's children flowed with music, as if it were in their blood.

Wait, it actually was in their blood.

They were specialists in brightening up a good party, in entertaining the whole camp. It was really as if their entire cabin shone.

However, she could also be proud of her own cabin. The children of Aphrodite had decorated the camp with garlands and flowers with the help of some children of Demeter, filling the entire place with natural perfumes. She was quite proud of how everything turned out.

When she finished the dining area, she felt a familiar presence behind her. She turned to find herself face-to-face with Minji, who was looking at her with an unreadable expression.

Great!

No matter how much she tried to ignore her, Kim Minji always had to appear in her path.

But for some reason, when she encountered her now, there wasn't as much... tension. She didn't know if it was just on her part, as Haerin obviously tried to ignore her, and maybe that caused their arguments to become less frequent. But she could also see how Minji wasn't as annoying as other times. Many times, she would just stand there looking at her with a furrowed brow and in silence, which was really strange for her. Or maybe it was just her imagination.

"Wow, Kang, I didn't know you had a talent for decorating," Minji commented, her tone oscillating between mockery and something else Haerin couldn't identify.

Haerin clenched her teeth, determined not to let Minji affect her.

"What do you want, Kim?" she snapped, turning back to her task.

Minji shrugged, leaning casually against a nearby tree. "Just passing by. The camp is big enough for us, isn't it?"

Haerin snorted, refusing to look at her. "Then keep passing by. I'm busy."
