When she turned 17 she didn't expect to face monsters, gods, puberty, the heat of the summer and an exhausting training, all at the same time. But since a bronze bull started to chase her, everything changed drastically and now she has to learn to l...
Minji slowly opened her eyes, blinking several times to adjust to the light filtering through the window. As she felt her body sliding so easily across her sheets, she remembered she was naked.
At that moment, memories of what had happened the day before rushed into her mind. Her fingers went to her lips, closing her eyes again to better recall the feeling of Haerin's lips on hers.
Haerin.
She turned to one side, unsure whether to still hold out hope of finding her there, but she did it anyway.
And, indeed, she was alone in bed.
Minji sighed, seeing again that the only clothes left were hers.
She sat up and hugged her knees, digging her nails into her skin, not sure whether to cry or get angry. The latter seemed like a much better option.
"I don't even know why I'm surprised," she muttered.
She took a deep breath, trying to calm the mix of emotions bubbling up inside her. With a sharp movement, she tossed the sheets aside and stood up. The cold floor of Hades' cabin greeted her, sending a shiver through her body.
"Great, just great," she muttered to herself as she looked for her clothes.
As she dressed, Minji couldn't help but feel her anger growing. Every piece of clothing she put on seemed to fuel her frustration. She ran her fingers through her hair, trying to comb it a little, but only succeeded in tangling it further.
"Damn it!" she exclaimed, kicking her chest. The pain in her foot only served to intensify her foul mood.
The best thing she could do was go out and get some fresh air, to distance herself from her cabin, which only brought back memories of the night before. She needed a distraction, maybe by running or smashing another training dummy.
She flung the cabin door open, ready to glare at anyone who crossed her path, and if it was Haerin, all the better.
However, before she could fully step out, a voice stopped her.
"SURPRISE, LITTLE SIS!"
Before she could process what was happening and look ahead, Minji was engulfed in a bear hug that nearly lifted her off the ground. The familiar scent of expensive cologne and leather from a jacket hit her immediately.
"Tae... Taehyung?" she stammered, barely able to breathe as she was smothered by her older brother's chest.
"The one and only!" he replied, loosening his grip a bit to smile at her. "Missed me, little demon?"
