"I'm sorry." He huskily said.

Archie shifted on his feet and sighed.

"I'm sorry for hurting you, Em." Aniya.

I was lost for words, not knowing what to say. I'm scared how my heart reacted easily.

May bumusina sa gilid, tapos bumaba si Gailor sa sasakyan nya.

"Ugh," she narrowed her eyes at Archie. "Hi."

Ngumiti si Archie kay Gailor bago bumaling sa akin. He slightly nodded.

"Alis na ko." Kaswal nyang sabi.

"Teka, Archie? Do you wanna go inside? Para makapag usap kayo ni Em?" Singit ni Gailor.

"Wala kaming pag uusapan."

"Ha?" Si Gailor.

"It's okay. Have a good night for the both of you."

Mariin ang pagtitig ko sa kanya habang papalayo na sya. Kinuyom ko ang kamao ko.

"What was that?"

"Wala."

"Meron eh, he was saying something kanina."

"Sinabi nya na nakita na nya ang real parents nya."

"And that concerns you, because?"

"I don't know okay."

"Baka naman he wants to talk to you na?"

"What for? Will that change the fact that he had hurt me?"

"Nalilito ka, Em. Gusto mo syang kausapin pero natatakot ka sa magiging out come nito. Why not give him the benefit of the doubt?"

"Nagmomove on na ako, Gailor."

"Maybe you two need some closure."

Bumalik ako sa trabaho not because of Archie. I just love being a graphic designer and it doesn't connect to him anyway.

"Good morning, Sir LA." Bati ni Miss Catherine.

Tumayo din ako para magbigay galang pero agad kong nasalo ang paninitig nya.

"Sir, okay na po pala ang bagong release ng book this month."

"Who's the author?"

"Si Em po." Ani Miss Catherine sabay sulyap sa akin. "And two books for Miss Persephone."

Archie then nodded. Lumakad na sya papunta sa opisina nya, kaya umupo na kaming lahat. Pinakita na ni Miss Jace sa akin iyong sample ng book print. Nahiya ako bigla kasi ihahanay yun kay Persephone.

I paused what I'm doing when someone placed a coffee on my table. Ngumiti si Lee sa akin bago tumango. There was a note beside the coffee.

'Can we talk now?' -LA.

Ngumuso ako. Honestly, I don't know if I wanted to talk to him. He already said his sorry and I should be content with that. But for some reason, I'm hoping for something impossible.

Tangina naman. Nagmomove on na ko!

This week na yung book signing event ng Talking Pages. Present ang mga authors ng Talking Pages para sa event at na maraming dadalo dito.

Si Lucy uli iyong punong abala dito sa event.

"Una mong pirmahan to, Em ha." Pinakita sa akin ni Lucy iyong book ng The Duchess Sneakers na binili nya.

I smiled and nodded at her. "Sige."

It felt surreal to see my story became a published book now. Hindi ako kasali sa book signing kasi hindi pa sure if may mag aavail ng book, pero sabi ni Lucy may bumili daw kanina.
