Today was the day.
It was now Thursday and they had to head out to the airport tomorrow to meet Kris and Celina in Arkansas to film their next video. Ana had just finished editing her next video in Colby's office which was due to go out in a few days.
She made her way downstairs to grab herself some lunch only to find Sam laying on the sofa taking a quick nap. She couldn't help but giggle at the man who was obnoxiously snoring. She quickly took a video to blackmail him later.
Colby soon joined her downstairs grabbing both their coats and her hand. "Where are we going?" Ana questioned, confusion covering her face as she followed him.
"You'll find out just put your coat on," he said laughing to himself as the clueless girl complied. It was late february and was still quite cold. The last thing they needed was to get sick before going to shoot the vid.
They walked hand-in-hand down the street quietly chatting about everything and anything. There was never an awkward silence between them.
When they made it to the small cafe her eyes lit up. She had wanted to come here since she saw it on the way to the party. It was small and filled with plants and fairy lights. Colby smiled to himself when he saw her face. God he would give her the world just to see that face everyday,
They quickly made their way inside, sitting in the corner. He passed her a menu and they decided what they wanted to eat. They couldn't help but steal glances when they thought the other wouldn't notice.
A waitress made her way over to the table and took their orders before heading back. Ana couldn't help but notice the blonde being a bit overly friendly to the boy in front of her. She wouldn't have cared if she acted the same towards herself but she was met with a blank expression and a dry tone. Was she jealous? Oh my god she was jealous. She knew she had no right to be. Colby could date whoever he wanted to. Only she wished it could have been her.
He picked up on the change in mood from the brunette in front of him. He didn't say anything but when the waitress returned he laced his hand in Ana's smaller one before thanking the waitress and eating with his left. Ana accepted the public display of affection and felt a wave of pride when the woman's eyes spotted their hands. Both of them could feel their faces turn pick as they continued to chat with their hands still holding onto one another as if they would fly apart if they didn't.

Soon enough they were heading back. Colby had to ask her now or he would have to wait weeks before he could gather enough courage to try again. As soon as they made it to the front door, Colby turned to her and just blurted it out.
"Do you want to be my girlfriend?"
Ana just stared back at him. Was this a dream or a joke? She couldn't believe that the beautiful man in front of her liked her too.
While Ana was trying to believe his words Colby was fearing rejection. Had he read the situation wrong? Had he been too blunt? God he was so stupid.
"Yes," she said quietly, staring into his eyes that seemed to hold the universe. He pulled her by the waist into a breath-taking kiss that seemed to last life-times. They weren't complaining. It just felt right.
