I complemented everyone's gift except his.

I noticed his expression change soon as he found me not wearing the necklace gifted by him.

I smiled internally.

Everyone turned to move to the garden, but I stopped them by calling his name.

All turned around and looked at me, but my eyes were fixed on him, who didn't turn to me.

Y/N: Will you do something for me?

I said, and he turned around, trying to fake a smile.

He agreed to do it.

As soon as I said that, he was shocked by still taking steps towards me.

He took the necklace from my hand and wore it around my neck.

I smiled as he asked if I have accepted him.

I made a thinking face but eventually said yes.

His eyes started to shine and he was about to say something but a phone ring intrepted us.

I looked at my room's door as it's my phone ringing from there.

I looked at him and smiled before walking backward till I reached the stairs.

I went to my room with a smile.

I noticed that the call is from an unknown number.

I frowned but took the call.

....: Happy birthday, Y/N.

It's Dong's voice.

Y/N: What do you want?
Dong: Again, you are asking the same question, Y/N. Don't you know what I want?

Y/N: You won't get that.
Dong: Let's see. By the way, I called you so that I can give you your birthday present.

I frowned again.

Dong: Umm, I guess you would have received that. So, bye.

He hung up, and I got confused.
