You appreciate what he's trying to do, but you can't just go home.
"I need to know what's going on," you say firmly. "If it is connected to last summer...I have to know."
Steve sighs but agrees that you can come. He and Robin close up the store early and the five of you head to the home of Reefer Rick, Eddie's friend (and the guy that gets him weed to sell).
There's no activity in the main house, so you venture out to the boathouse. While in there, Robin and Max find empty beer cans and candy and food wrappers strewn on a workbench. Someone has been there.
A lumpy tarp covering one of the boats catches your eye. It seems to catch Steve's eye, too.
He reaches for an oar and begins poking at the tarp with it. Dustin admonishes him for the action, telling him to instead just take the tarp off.
You're inclined to agree. If there is a baby Mind Flayer hiding in the boat or something, doesn't it make more sense to just rip the tarp off and face it head-on?
