"So how is Chloe?" Jesse said as he sipped his coffee. The two agreed to meet at a coffee place to talk about what happened the night before. Beca only cried a little that night, but if you looked at her, you would never know. Jesse on the other hand, looked like he had been up all night, maybe even drinking a little.

"She's good. But how are you, Jesse?" The man sitting in front of her shrugged a little, took another sip and said "I miss you, Bec. I hate waking up in an empty bed." Beca looked down at her coffee and messed with the little stir straw. "All you had to do was take the day off and stay home. Hell, we didnt even have to stay home. I just wanted to spend time with you away from the studio." They stared at each other for a short time before she asked "Did you even stay home after i left?" Jesse was quite for a while until he said "I told you, i needed to get the last track done. But i did take today off." Beca chuckled, knowing what day it was. "Jess, its Sunday. The studio is closed." They both smiled, drank coffee, and she said "One thing that i never understood was why didn't you come to my studio? You could choose between 4 in the whole Atlanta area and you choose Trilogy." Trilogy was the second best ranked music studio, behind Residual. They had two other studios, in LA and New York, but Jesse didn't work at Trilogy in LA. "Isn't it some rule that co workers cant date?" "Im the boss, i make the rules. And thats a stupid rule." Jesse shrugged and said "After this score, ill take up an offer with Residual, okay?" Beca nodded in agreement. The two talked for at least an hour before parting ways.

"How was it? How was it?" Chloe was basically jumping on the couch when Beca walked in and threw her purse down. "Calm down, boy." Beca laughed as she grabbed a water bottle from the kitchen, Chloe hot on her heels. "It went well. We're still together, just living apart for a while." She drank some water as Chloe looked happy for her, but was actually hurt on the inside. "That's great, Bec. I hope you two work it out." She walked to the couch and plopped down in defeat. She didn't want to be an awful friend and hope her relationship went down the drain, but at the same time she wished they would end it already. Beca noticed the red head's mood swing and asked "Is everything okay, Chlo? You were basically jumping on the couch 2 minutes ago, now you're the complete opposite." Chloe faked a smile and said "Oh yeah, I'm great. Just a little tired." Beca knew what she was feeling. A few years ago, right after coming out, Chloe had a girlfriend and Beca couldn't help but feel jealous, even when waking up to Jesse every morning. The two didn't last long, maybe a month, but Beca couldn't help but feel ecstatic when it ended. Since then Chloe has only had a few hook ups, but nothing serious. Most of her energy was focused on her best friend.

"Yeah i understand. We stayed up late last night. Tap a nap. Im sure you'll feel better." Beca said as she teased Chloe's feelings and kissed her on the head. Chloe perked up as Beca smirked and went upstairs. She knew what she was doing, but wanted to keep Chloe on the edge. She didnt want her going any where just yet.

Sorry that it's shorter than usual. Just kind of a filler and background behind why Jesse doesn't work at Residual, and some BeChloe tease. Thanks so much for reading and comment if you have any ideas for future chapters!!
