When I first started writing this book in 2013, I had an idea of what Kara looked like but I still started searching for pictures of models and actresses online and found this picture (see below). I remember going "There she is. Her skintone and hair is a bit lighter than what I imagined for Kara but everything else is on point." and immediately saved the picture. It was only after finding out who the model was, that I discovered she had passed on back in 2008. May her soul rest in peace.
