(Just imagine Frisk is absent)

Exhausted from the day's events, (y/n) finally lay down on the bed in Toriel's cozy home. As he snuggled into the blankets, he couldn't help but speak with Chara again. Her presence remained mysterious, and he felt she knew more about this world than she revealed.

"Chara," (y/n) whispered softly, "is there something you want to tell me?"

Chara seemed contemplative for a moment before responding. "Only what you need to discover, (y/n). Your own journey in this world is just beginning."

(Y/n) sighed softly, sensing that Chara once again evaded giving a direct answer. He decided to set those thoughts aside for now and attempted to fall asleep.

The next morning, (y/n) woke up with renewed energy. As Chara asked, "How's my old bed?" (y/n) yawned and got ready. He knew he had to ask Toriel today about how to leave the Ruins. He hoped to proceed without conflict, to learn more about this world beyond what he already knew from the game.

After a hearty breakfast with Toriel, he prepared himself to address her. "Toriel, I wanted to ask how I can move forward from here. I'd like to return home."

Toriel looked at (y/n) seriously. "My child, the Ruins are your home now." "(Y/n), that's kind of you, but this isn't my world. I have my family up there, and I'm sure they want to see me again."

"No, (y/n), it's too dangerous. If you continue, you'll die." "Toriel, please, I want to go home."
Toriel thought for a moment and said, "Okay, but first you must prove yourself by defeating me."

(Y/n) nodded in agreement. He knew he had to do it, even if it pained his heart.

As Toriel and (y/n) descended into the basement, preparing for their confrontation, (y/n) tried one last time with words.

"Come on, Toriel, I don't want to hurt you. Just let me go."

"If you don't want to fight, you're not ready for what's outside."

(Y/n) took a breath and then sighed, "Okay, let's get this over with."

Toriel lunged at (y/n), but he managed to dodge. (Y/n) couldn't help but think of Chara repeatedly. He had a feeling that she was planning something. In a way, he was right.

As he finally fought Toriel to find his way out of the Ruins, he heard Chara's voice in his head. "(Y/n), you could achieve so much more if you choose the path of genocide. Think of the power you could have. You just need to kill Toriel."

(Y/n) shook his head and continued to dodge Toriel's attacks, determined not to give in. "No, Chara. I won't heed your suggestion. I'll choose the pacifist path and strive for peace."

Chara seemed quiet for a moment, but (y/n) couldn't shake the feeling that she wouldn't give up.

Toriel stopped attacking (y/n) and said, "Look at me, or you won't get through, (y/n)."

"No, Toriel, I won't attack you. I don't want to hurt you." Toriel considered stopping but decided against it and continued.

(Y/n) considered how to convince Toriel and had an idea.

(Y/n) prepared for an attack, waited until Toriel launched her final fireball. And then, (y/n) sprinted toward Toriel, surprising both her and Chara. Chara was curious about what (y/n) was doing, but to her regret, it wasn't what she wanted.

(Y/n) grabbed Toriel's right hand before she could react, placed his right hand on her stomach, and flung her against the wall, holding her firmly. He said, "Enough now, Toriel! If I wanted to, I could have done this the entire time. But I didn't want to hurt you. You left me no choice."

(Y/n) released Toriel and continued talking, and Toriel listened.

"Toriel, look at me. I'm not a child anymore. I can defend myself if I have to. So, can we stop now?"

"You're right, my child. Let's stop now."

And so, the fight between (y/n) and Toriel came to an end. (Y/n) was relieved, but he had doubts about the future. In the Ruins of the Underground, as he fought against his own temptation of genocide, (y/n) knew that his choices in this world mattered. And while Chara might have other plans, he would forge his own path and strive to maintain balance in this world.
