(Y/n) continued on his way towards Waterfall, but suddenly someone stood in his path. A skeleton with an unusually confident posture and a radiant smile greeted him.

"HUMANS! IF YOU WANT TO PASS ME, YOU MUST DEFEAT ME, THE GREAT PAPYRUS!" declared the skeleton in a loud voice.

(Y/n) was taken aback by the enthusiastic greeting. He couldn't help but smile. "Hello! I'm (Y/n). Nice to meet you, Great Papyrus."

Papyrus seemed a bit disappointed that (Y/n) didn't immediately seek a fight, but his energy remained unbroken. "Yes, that's me! The greatest, most daring fighter in all of Snowdin!"

(Y/n) decided to play along with Papyrus' game and said, "Well, I'm here to defeat you, Great Papyrus. Show me what you've got!"

Papyrus attacked me with his bones, I dodged and waited for his next move. When it came, I grabbed one of the bones and used it to block the other attacks.

"Ohh, HUMAN? WHAT A CLEVER MOVE YOU MADE THERE."
"Thank you, Papyrus, but you're not bad either."
"HEHEHE, THANK YOU. TRY THIS, HUMAN."

Papyrus now attacked me with his blue attacks. I pretended not to know them and attempted to break through them at first, which didn't work. "What!" I narrowly avoided them as I stumbled, but I remained calm. As the attack passed me without causing any harm, I said, "I know now how your blue attacks work. If I don't move, they can't hurt me."

"YES, HUMAN, VERY CLEVER OF YOU."

Now I attacked Papyrus. I rushed towards him, blocking the bones he fired at me. I swung at him, intentionally missing to avoid causing him any damage. Throughout the battle, I allowed myself to be hit a few times, even though it hurt a little.

"HUMAN, NOW COMES MY SPECIAL ATTACK."

This attack consisted of bones and blue attacks. (Y/n) had fun with it, but he knew he had to finish it. (Y/n) prepared for his final attack. As he charged and blocked or dodged every one of Papyrus' attacks, he managed to knock Papyrus' legs out from under him. With Papyrus on the ground, (Y/n) pointed the bone at Papyrus' head and said, "I have won."

(Y/n) looked at Papyrus and sighed.
"I can't kill such a good warrior."

And finally, (Y/n) found an opportunity to spare Papyrus and seized it. "You have a lot of energy, Papyrus. But I don't want to fight you anymore."

Papyrus looked surprised, but then his radiant smile broke through again. "OH, YOU'RE NOT AS I THOUGHT, HUMAN. BUT DON'T WORRY, I HAVE A NEW PLAN!"

(Y/n) couldn't help but laugh. "A new plan?"

Papyrus nodded seriously. "YES! I WILL BE YOUR FRIEND! A FRIENDLY FRIEND WHO WILL GET YOU TO FIGHT ME. BUT DON'T WORRY, I'LL ALSO FIGHT TO LOSE!"

(Y/n) laughed heartily. "Papyrus, you're truly unique. I'd love to be your friend."

Papyrus beamed with joy. "WONDERFUL! YOU HAVE WON THE GREAT PAPYRUS' FRIENDSHIP!"

The two shook hands, and (Y/n) felt that he had found a new ally. He looked forward to spending more time with Papyrus and seeing what other adventures they would experience together.
