"The Mailman doesn't deliver, so find him, and return to sender!" Ultra Violet shrilled from the screen. "Today's jackpot could be yours."

Karlof shook his head disappointedly as he watched the wicked television program. "Every day, pick off our friends. Pick, pick, pick."

"Ugh. As long as it's not me," Dareth shrugged.

Across the garage, Lloyd assessed Nya's current creation-in-progress. He frowned at the hulking mass of metal. "Looks bigger than your other builds," he commented. "What are you making?"

Nya hopped down from the metal rails she'd been standing on. "Since we're outnumbered, we're upping the armor and firepower. Thanks to some feedback from Skylor, I feel like it's really taking shape."

"But it's so bulky," Lloyd pointed out. "We'll be sitting ducks in that."

"It's a work in progress," excused Skylor. "She'll be ready."

"Karlof?" Mystake called from the staircase that led to the office that she had unofficially claimed. "Do you think I can get your help with Lloyd's training?"

Karlof pounded his fists together, whole body turning to steel. "Ooh, it would be my pleasure."

Lloyd raised his hands in surrender. "Go easy on me. I'm powerless."

"Uh, actually, it won't be you who will be facing Karlof, but Dareth," Mystake clarified.

"Heh, me?" Dareth squeaked, intimidated by the metal man. "I mean . . . uh, all right. Hey, heh. About time."

"But he isn't an Elemental Master," Lloyd mentioned to Mystake.

"Neither are you," she reminded him. "Power takes many forms beyond what is physical. The power of persuasion. The power of numbers. The power to lead."

Karlof brandished his iron fists. "Don't forget power of Metal."

He and Dareth now stood opposite to each other in a boxing ring. "Oh, boy. You're gonna be a tough nut to crack," Dareth noted meekly.
