"So? All set for the day, ice princess?" Mithran asked, as he sat on the edge of the vanity table and stared at Chaahat, who was getting ready for her first day at office.

"What's with this ice princess? This is not the first time you are calling me that." Chaahat said with a frown, making Mithran smile widely.

"Because you are one, Chaahat. All icily cold towards everyone." Mithran said and Chaahat made a face at that.

"Don't exaggerate." Chaahat said, though a small smile made its way to her mouth, which she was quick to hide.

"I am not exaggerating. Our first meeting still gives me the chills." Mithran said with an exaggerated shudder.

"First meeting? What happened in our first meeting to give you chills?" Chaahat asked in confusion.

"I was waiting for a girl in a half saree, walking in. I was expecting a crying hysterical mess in my arms. And then you walked in. All chick style, with that devil may care attitude.." Mithran said and Chaahat rolled her eyes at Mithran's dramatics.

"Are you ready? I will drop you in the office on my way." Mithran said, as he took his car keys. He usually takes his motorcycle. He loves that more than car rides. But keeping in mind Chaahat's phobia towards the two wheeled monster, he decided to take the car instead.

"But your office is not in the same direction, right?" Chaahat asked.

"I can make a small detour for my new friend, Chaahat." Mithran said.

"If you insist.." Chaahat said.

Chaahat finished getting ready, a mix of nervousness and excitement coursing through her veins. Today marked a new chapter in her life as she embarked on her professional journey. She couldn't help but feel grateful for having Mithran by her side.

As they made their way to the car, Chaahat couldn't help but notice the warm morning sun casting its golden rays on the city. It seemed to be a perfect reflection of the changes taking place within her. Mithran, ever observant, noticed the change in her demeanour.

"Are you feeling alright, Chaahat?" Mithran inquired, concern lacing his voice.

Chaahat paused for a moment, gathering her thoughts before replying.

"I guess I am just a little anxious about my first day. But I am also excited about this new opportunity. It feels like a chance for me to break free from the 'ice princess' persona you've labelled me with." Chaahat said and Mithran chuckled at that.

Mithran's eyes softened as he glanced at Chaahat.

"You know, Chaahat, that nickname was never meant to define you. It was just a playful way to tease you. But I see the warmth and kindness within you, even if you choose to hide it always."

A hint of a smile tugged at Chaahat's lips, appreciating Mithran's understanding.

"Thank you for seeing beyond the surface, Mithran. I guess we all have our reasons for the walls we build around ourselves."

To change her mood, Mithran leaned towards her with a mischievous glint in his eyes.

"You know, Chaahat, I had to break out my warmest jacket just to survive your icy aura during that first encounter. You were like Elsa from Frozen, but with a side of sass."

Chaahat smirked and playfully replied, "Well, Mithran, I hope you didn't catch a cold. My icy aura can be quite dangerous, you know."

Mithran chuckled at her instant retort.

"Don't worry, I've developed immunity to ice princesses. I've been exposed to your chilliness for far too long now."

Mithran reached out to playfully touch Chaahat's arm. "Ah, the perks of having a personal ice princess. It's like having a built-in air conditioner during the scorching summer days."

Chaahat rolled her eyes, a smirk dancing on her lips. "Well, Mithran, if you ever need to cool down, you know who to call. Just don't blame me if you start craving hot chocolate afterwards."

Mithran feigned shock. "Hot chocolate? Now you're talking my language, Chaahat. I never knew the ice princess had a hidden stash of warm beverages."

Chaahat shrugged nonchalantly. "Well, every princess needs a secret stash of comfort food, right? It's all part of maintaining the perfect balance between warmth and coolness."

As they settled into the car, Mithran started the engine and turned to Chaahat with a grin.

"Ready to face the world, ice princess? Just remember, no freezing any colleagues with your icy glares."

Arriving at the office building, Chaahat felt a mix of nervousness and anticipation. She took a deep breath, preparing herself to face the challenges that lay ahead. Mithran turned towards her, his eyes filled with confidence and support.

"Remember, Chaahat, you're more than capable of conquering whatever comes your way. Don't let anyone else's perceptions define who you are. Embrace your warmth and let it shine through."

"Just remember to let a little warmth seep through those icy walls of yours. You'll be surprised at the connections you can make."

Chaahat nodded, grateful for Mithran's encouraging words.

"Thanks for being my warm-up act, Mithran. I'll do my best to thaw out a bit and let people see the real me."

Mithran winked and replied, "Just remember, ice princess, there's a fine line between letting people see the real you and accidentally melting their hearts. Balance is key."

With newfound determination, she stepped out of the car, ready to embark on this new chapter of her life.

As she walked towards the entrance, Mithran called after her with a smirk.

"And remember, if anyone gives you a hard time, just give them the ol' ice-cold stare. Works like a charm."

She couldn't help the chuckle that escaped through her lips.

Mithran has a way to make her feel light hearted and slowly and steadily she is getting addicted to it.

As she walked towards the entrance, she couldn't help but glance back at Mithran, who gave her a reassuring smile.

And as she crossed the threshold of the office, Chaahat knew that her journey was just beginning-a journey that would not only transform her own life but also touch the lives of those around her.

With Mithran's unwavering support and the determination within her, she was ready to break free from the constraints of her past and embrace the warmth that lay within her heart.
